Act 2 boss impossible

Guys, I'm not a professional or anything, but I consider myself pretty good at games. Finished Diablo 1,2,3,4, Grim Dawn etc. but the Act 2 final boss is literally impossible for my summoner Witch. Every 5 seconds all my minions wipe despite respeccing, which is the main part of my build.

Is the boss meant to be this hard? Like I have beaten every FromSoftware game 100% and consider myself not too bad, but seriously if I have to make a new character to beat act 2, this game just isn't fun.

Maybe your build is just trash generally or very bad against this boss.
The game is very unbalanced and some Builds are just far superior while some are awful.

Ok... So I am not putting in another 20 hours and starting again, so I guess I just quit?

You could always go the flamewall/skull combo and just avoid the boss until it is dead.

Don't worry, OP! The devs will make the bosses perfectly playable couple season later once they'll stop nerfing every single fun build posted on forums and Reddit and start actually improving the game

(btw did you notice the current passives skill tree is a copy of Diablo 4 skill tree? )

If your build is struggling try something else for a while. Remember that the game is only in early access. It's only 0.1.0e. I'm sorry your minion build didn't work out, neither did my elementalist.

Stack up on Lightning Resistance (Charms, socketed gems in armor), and get a little spell shield. The rest is just learning to roll vs run against some of his attack. It's doable but yes it is difficult

try to max your resistances and get some more shield / hp, also this boss is speacial because you have to go in the magic barrier from the quest women thats in the arena with you, when the boss cast the sandstorm. i hope these infos would help you ;)

Dude I tried all day, changed my build, upgraded my gear, watched all the guides.

At some point you just have to say that the game isn't fun

yeah going up against a fire boss with -10% fire resistance challenging in act 2... The gear on the toon. I do not consider anything impossible. You might have to grind out a level or two.

If it's impossible for now, ask for help coop in the chat. I don't know a better tip because I haven't played this class yet. As you are a fan of Dark Souls like me, I believe you would do better with the warrior class.

Beat him first try with summoner witch (technically, since I died only once to this full screen attack because I wasn't even aware that the girl NPC was with me and I could see very well her barrier).

I'm using armor/energy shield and also the witch own cut gem to gain energy shield when a mob/minion die, I prioritize survivability rather than arsonists and it's paying well, I can survive many big hits, so those recent nerfs didn't impacted my build.

People says that he is the hardest boss atm, he is too fast and enemy AOE in this game is stupidly big, you get hit from the tip of your toe finger and get full damage, it's ridiculous.

Anyways, get one or two big energy shield passives, also get minion respawn time from the right top of the passive tree ASAP.

In the current state of the game, the recommended builds should be enough to overcome any obstacle with minimal knowledge of the game during the campaign.

Yea sorry but I'm not spending another day grinding to beat the act 2 boss. I just wanted to have some fun and play the campaign and watch the story, not sweat like it's League of Legends ranked mode.
