Report a translation problem
A lot of people start the game.. die against bosses in act 1 and come here yelling how badly balanced the game is. Thats mostly it. Has nothing to do with the potential of the classes.
little squishy though, but only until you take the evasion convert to armor keystone
because evasion sucks.
people complaining probably took the chaos ascendancy and not the invoker
I went cold/lightning hybrid, then pure lightning, then pure cold, then cold with lightning support, and now I am using call of the brotherhood to covert all lightning to cold damage.
I would say I didn't struggle through 1-3, but def had some spicy fights, cruel was a breeze and melting everything, start of maps I struggled until I reworked my class, and now im kind of flying through midgame.
Alot of what changed for me was my weapon and body armor. I have such high evasion (and it can go higher) that due to protect me from grace, I have like 70% evasion, 60% armor, 60% resistances on everything but chaos, and I have a phys based weapon I am about to upgrade to that is juiced, and I have like 2800 ES with Grim Feast.
Biggest upgrades were a 1500+ evasion body armor and a 200+ phys damage quarterstaff, and I suspect to see a big dmg increase with my new 300+ phys damage quarterstaff when I level up next.
Monk can be ranged, melee, spell proccer or all at the same time, it plays super cool, is super good but if your weapon sucks your life is miserable, i made about 5 builds, 3 worked and can share my current one if you wish but i think figuring it out is part of the fun.
First i made a witch to become a blood mage (needs life) and as soon as i saw no life nodes on tree i rerolled to monk, this was at launch before finishing act1.
There's 2 bad things on the tree, first no life nodes and second the crit nodes are lacking, i also consider evasion better than armor for now and energy shield WAY better than life, there's some uniques that can make stuff work but eva/es is the best defense at the moment imo.
