Path of Exile 2

Lets talk inventory!
The main bag is way to small. It needs to be twice as big and some items need their size trimming down.

What fun / value is there in having to town every 3 minutes to sell a stack of blues (main source of income in campaign levels).

Also, some QoL on stash tabs would be great.
CTRL + Left clicking on currency / gems etc can just send them to their assigned tabs without the need to manually navigate into them. Something to consider going forward into final release perhaps ?

An auto sort function on the main bag / base / premium tabs as well would be fantastic.

I kind of agree. GGG's reasoning for the small inventory size in PoE1 was "you're not supposed to pick everything up, be selective". This worked OK for the loot pinata playstyle of the first game.

However, they now say that loot drops are less frequent and more meaningful, and you should be picking stuff up to dismantle or trade - so their argument for a restrictively small inventory is now bullsh*t.

I'd prefer to keep Tetris. Adds more weight to the decision of what to keep, what to leave, when to spend time going back to town.

Not a fan of loot hoarding through huge inventories or making equipment all the same size. Feels cheap.

A better idea would be to add gold drops or small, stackable junk items to sell for the bulk of income while reducing the sell value of equipment.

it's not really tetris though. I wish you could rotate items to get more loot, but as far as I know you can't. so when you have a 2 space vertical, you can't grab that belt as it's 2 slot horizontal. The game pretty much auto sorts the space, I've not had to move item around my inventory, usually it's just comes down to dropping an item.

I think during the campaign they should lower the junk drop rate and increase the breakdown and sale income from what is dropped. This would help during the first leveling process to lower the amount of times one has to open a portal, go to town, identify, breakdown/sell and then store in chest. Then go back thru portal, grab the few items left laying on the ground and either do a repeat or move on for a few more minutes until your full again.

Well I am not thinking this thru but it is just an idea....I am sure the Dev's or others could suggest a better ideaIs).

main bag is TINY, can hold 6 body armor pieces, thats all....
ITs created on purpose so we as players give them PLAY TIME, fake play time, where we doing nothing else but sitting in loading screen jumping between loot and city to sell..
Its horrible...
Such predatory practices...bet u they will try to sell bigger inventory soon...

I agree, they just need to use the grid format from Quad tabs on the main inventory .. Im guessing that would become a MTX .. you buy more inventory space.

Because you pickup items like currency and rares, socketed and with quality % to brake them for parts and sell only rares. If you are looking for base to craft than you identyfi blue and if its garbage throw it out. Sell item per 1 or 2 maps finished. In campaign there is so little rare items that you need to go to town once a blue moon.

naw I would buy it, especially if its like a skill/support gem tab for inventory or a quest item tab, currency tab etc.

The big one would be a quad tab for the main inventory .. would buy it in a heart beat.

it is not a question if one would buy, but rather if GGG would sell it.

and they are not.

Yet...

They just need to know there is a market for it, and Im sure they have already realised the POE1 inventory is insufficient for POE2 with the changes they made to loot and drops.

Loot matters now and so should a better inventory system.
