Endgame WAAAAAAAAAAAY to punishing @GGG
Im more of an casual Poe Gamer, which why i never really defeated most High end bosses in poe 1 altough i had 1k hours. But the reason for me is also the same like the endgame in poe2. Its just way to punishing...

I had an absolute blast in campain (except warrior lol) as SSF casual. I even for the first time in 1k hours POE made my build fully myself. PURE ENJOYMENT! Cruel should be harder than normal, but thats not really the topic here. The campain was still challenging for me, but extreme fair and fun due to the portals infront of the bosses and no exp panalty when dying. Just the respawn and loot disapearing when dying was annoying. So i had problems while still extreeeemly enjoying playing it, like i never did before!

It all stoped ABSOLUTLY as i started to get to Endgame mapping.....
I really started to question GGGs sanity...

How in the hell would you really think its an good idea to:

1. Let all Portals disappear when dying, while still make it nearly impossible to avoid getting 1shot by some stupid ♥♥♥♥ on the ground which sometimes are nearly impossible to see. Just make 1 Portal to maps and let the player try as much as he wants? Whats the Problem with that? I mean its exactly what made campain callenging and fun.

2. Actually getting 1shoted further into maps by stuff (at least for me) sometimes hard to see while pretty much full max defensives. Its absoluty no fun at all but rather stressful...

3. After Death kills. There is really nothing more annoying so far in POE1 and POE2 than killing an hard boss, seeing the nice loot on the ground and then "BOOOOOM" something on the ground, an boss after death skill killed you and you lying like a ♥♥♥♥♥ on the ground while looking on the loot, which you know will disapear with the portals to the map.
i literally alt+f4 multible times just because of this....Its like Satan came up with this idea...

4. The cherry on top: EXP lose on Death. just make EXP needed for lvl up higher, like 50 or 100 times, but stop this exp lose on death. its just stopped me doing challenging maps after 50% exp bar, so i dont ♥♥♥♥ up.

5. Small, but still a big Problem with 1-4. Small Maps drop chance. Its not really fun to farm low maps for progress (espacially with the fear of getting 1shotted).

With all this combined i really noticed to fear maping or challenges, while coming out of the best campain ever made.
Its not "hard", callenging or fun. Its just pure punishment and time wasting mechanics. I only see masochist enjoying mapping so far....

Please, Please, Please remove all Punishment mechanics. Make the Game just Fun like the Campain, even if its just for SSF. I really love POE2, but im to casual to getgud.
In my eyes punishing Endgame mechanicswere always the reason people (also me) just did meta poe guide builds so they had a chance to beat all content.
Remove all of them and people will maybe go out of the Meta bubble which also makes the game more fun to play.

run the maps you can handle, with a good build.

So far I only tried yellow Tier 7, no challenge with my lvl 75 monk
Pretty simple.
Early Access.

While i usually do not like that "excuse" but GGG stated on several interviews that "ENDGAME" was the least balanced thing since they had the least time to prepare and test it. So Balance will be out of whack.

Pushing 9 & 10s on my 79 freeze monk. Thought the chain freeze nerf would hurt, but yesterdays update (especially to combat frenzy with my powertread boots) made me stronger to push higher.

No its not?!

In PoE 1 i could run fairly consistent T17 maps even without getting oneshot.
Currently in T15 maps with irradiated, i still am getting one shotted on all my chars. Even the oh so tanky shout barbarian.

But PoE1 was way easier.

Well okay I only reached T7 so far, but wituout issues, so I should wait before I voice my "feelings", but I still have the feeling that here I can influence the currents a little better, especially through dodge, on the other hand I had movement skills in poe

PoE, and especially the second game, is not balanced for SSF, I believe.
I`ll agree that 10% xp loss when lv70+ feels steep in addition to losing the map, when PoE1 had only 5% loss from level 80 and 6 portals. Not sure why they went for that.

Guys its all about the punishment mechanics here, not how hard the game is itself.

Seeing the endgame was kind of funny. I don't remember starting a hardcore character, but it feels like it everytime I die in endgame lol.

Yeah in T7 its still pretty okay. The main issue starts 13-14+
Since damage on the mobs scales like crazy ...

Luckily they nerfed it a bit and i haven't tested it since the patch.

Just finished T9 boss + 1 corrupted map, also no issue, energy shield ~1600 went mostly to 800, evasion is at the moment at 81%. Nearly gained a lvl, went from 8% to 88%

i really dislike running maps in PoE 2

its like you have to hyperfocus ALL the time, if u just blink or scratch ur balls once
you die to a random oneshot

and there are no builds in the entire game which can survive the oneshots in later mapping

this feels much more than a cocaine game to me,
when ARPGs should allways be weed games

yes the rush is overwhelming sometimes, felt that only in breach so far. because my build always starts slow until I had at least one power charge.

also dislike that you loose the map on first death AND exp loss

should either be one or the other, not both, its lil much

and its especially hard if you play SSF and can not pay2win like all the trade players
