game ran well smooth at 54 fps 1440p for 4 hours of play, default settings.
Just now after taking a town portal, i am having sudden and seemingly incoherent issues with stuttering. Initially i thought it was network, but the graphs are showing high spiking MS on the CPU. All system temperatures are at light load values, cpu running at light load 34%. None of the previous areas i went through are playable for me now. No signs of the system being taxed at all, i can tab out, and do other tasks unhindered by the game runing.
Happening on my AMD 7800X3D / 7900XtX rig, consistantly crashes on change of map / area. Stable until latest update.!!!!.
Other than RAM, and mayhap mobo(670E Steel Legend here), our set up is very similar, even the same GPU and I have zero issues.
I'm gonna be pissed if I start getting lockups and have to put all of the old hardware back in 🤣🤣

I also updated to the latest hotfix nvidia drivers which are for stabilty
You're probably right, since I have a second system with an i7 8700 and 16gb and 1070gtx there is no problem. Only with the AMD 5800x and the 3070GTX there only crashes or the fans run at full speed. Only since I switched off processor multithreading have I had any more problems. Strange.
This wouldn't be the first game Windows didn't play well with an AMD cpu on
