fine for me too, 5950 and a 6900, most recent drivers, version of w11 etc all around.

Curious Mooo..., whats your ram, I'm running 64gb, could see op's 16 not being enough which may be putting strain on rest of their system.

I have very high drop FPS when playing underground cavern type map...Never had this problem during the campaign...

for now u can limit CPU usage with 'process lasso', like limit it to 95% or 90%

or turn 2 cores offline in task manager for poe2.exe (have to do this every restart)

same problem here since it came out, its unplayable for me. my pc definitely can run it but it runs at like 10 fps. it says its "optimized" but it runs like im on windows 98 for some reason

It’s a CPU usage issue. I have a 14900K and a 4090 and the game was crashing on every loading screen due to cpu over utilization and spiking to TDP during loading screens. There is something going on in the game with that. I’m very familiar with bios and overlocking adjustments so I undervolted the cpu and limited utilization max during the game and it fixed my issue entirely. Haven’t crashed once since. Yes granted this absolutely should not be necessary to play the game but until they figure out why the poor optimization is happening in loading screens this was my fix.

Weird, running an older 9700k and newer 4070rtx at max and it's barely working my system on max settings. You folks trying to play at 4k or something?
Squid Dec 18, 2024 @ 12:44pm
For reference this game pushes my CPU harder than prime 95 or cinebench during extended stress tests on an overlocked 14900K with a 360 rad aio. There is something seriously wrong lol I’m sure they are aware but I imagine this is a fix that is going to take time.

I’m running at 3440x1440. I have everything on max and fps is fine. It’s not a performance issue where I’m dropping frames more so that the CPU usage is unnecessarily high. What’s also weird is that it’s intermittent, I would expect high CPU usage during loading screens, typically of any initialization of a program or game, however it’s abnormally high comparative to other games or stress tests. The other things that’s weird is how wide the spectrum is between people having zero issues and others in unplayable territory.

The game develops stuttering over time on my end. Need to restart PC, game restart won't help neither does a GPU driver reset. Can't complain about performance - runs smooth here (4070 Ti Super, 5900X > 120-140 fps, GPU @ ~70-90%, CPU @ 10-40%).

You can cap it yourself with external programs. However this is normal, poe will always use what ever resources available to the max.
