I thought they were suppose to be basically 6 attempts, allowing us some margin of failure.
They are currently on a pointless player punishment drive for no real reason, perhaps they don't actually want an active player community but rather a community full of elitists and masochists who enjoy punishment simply for the sake of it.
Even Elden ring is harder than this game and far less annoying to play.
If they truly wanted difficulty they should have tried to emulate Sekiro or Bloodborne, might have been far less brainless than this meta build ARPG.
That very well could be, and if that is the case. This game has no future because that means farming and becoming stronger has no real reward. ARPGS is all about farming.
I have 4k sheilds 2k hp. Double shield with grim. 85 evasion, Pure phys build with 80 percent mana leech to sheild instant.
I can do tier 16 maps, but It is tedious. it is not fun and better gear does not make me feel good.
I'm better than most people at this game, and it is not a matter of can or can not do it. It is more like it is not fun, and better gear won't make it feel better. So I have no reason to farm.
I think some sort of a middle ground between what we have now and what PoE 1 has would be preferred. This game really wouldn't work with the amount of lives you get in PoE 1, but 1 life isn't exactly too much fun either.
Yes, for me it is not really the skill needed it is more like. This game has no chill so why the heck am I farming?
I'm at the point where bad luck can still happen with a very defensive build and lets not even add to the fact that sustaining 16s has become a chore.
You can be hard without punishing.
Game is already competitive for no reason what so ever, and it's a pve game. If they really wanna make the game hard just take away trade. EZPZ. Most people wont make it to end game.
Ya, and it also make sustaining high level maps a chore as well. I spec into way drops, and i have very good gear. I can still get one shot.
It is the rng on sustaining maps on top of this one portal death. It is not fun.
Pretty much only the players abusing overflow ES with over 20k ES are the ones having a blast right now with not dying at all.
What does that have to do with maps?
