Very little drops for my character.

I'm fairly new to POE2 so i'm not sure if this is supposed to be a thing. Anyways loot drops don't seem to very much for my character seems to be very melee tank like char gear or someone who would wield a bow and arrow setup but very little drops for my witch.

I've pretty much got the same gear i started with altho upgraded as high as it seems possible, i have mainly blue and just 2 yellows. It just doesn't feel right kind of reminds me on how tough to progress it was when i used to play paper play D&D :) I'm finding when loot drops i'm not getting that excitement because its so disappointing all the time or i open a yellow chest nothing good usually grey with a few gold coins, don't get me wrong im not expecting mega gear in act 1 making me OP just something decent from mobs or bosses for MY char this whole encountering bosses defeating them and getting loot for a different char than mine is sucking the soul out of me to bother to continue.

This is the only thing i'm not enjoying about POE2 the game imo is better than D4, great voice acting all round, decent story, gfx great very detailed runs pretty smooth and i don't mind the lvl sizes but it's being let down for me by this one thing :/

Actually there is one other thing when i portal back to camp to drop off my rubbish if i spend to long (like 2 mins) at camp the portal vanishes and i have to use the waypoint marker to go back and it resets the mobs which makes it infinitely more grindy, i know the game is EA and maybe GGG are aware and on it, its nice to see they listen to players a rare thing these days.

when u port to a waypoint or enter an area in a different way
it creates an instance which is automatically closed after 8-15 minutes
makes portal disappear and respawn all mobs

Developers said that they under tune loot drops bit too much drops. they spike it a bit it can be still feel low. they change it surely, when i went from 3 act to cruel difficulty there was mach more loot and game became easier.
ps. GGG makes money on skins and loot space. especially in the endgame. so this feeling of being full is bit too common.

Check vendors after you level up they will have new gear to sell.

They don't, rarely do they refresh, not sure if broken, or bugged.

There are sceptre bases with implicit spirit in them iirc. Also don't pick EVERYTHING you find in the floor, only rares (id and pray), blues that you can regal or bases you can craft on.
If you dont have space and the item is trash just throw it and keep moving.

Also try to get spirit from chest/amulet too.

You don't need to pick up everything, that may be what is making you feel a bit exhausted with the loot, just leave it on the floor if it's not yellow or small enough like a belt and progress.

It's pretty damn tough, especially if you're new, but as you say very little items that drop will be for you because in this game your witch could use a hammer if you wanted her to.

You can try gambling with the merchant to get better loot, or just keep pushing, it'l come eventually, it's purely RNG however.

Stashes are shared over all characters, so storing weapons for other classes is not a bad thing if you pick up good ones. Of course that means you will need to buy stash tabs from the store, which luckily go on sale every 3 weeks or so.

As for weapon drops, i believe it's set to be low during this phase of game, as it's easier to buff drops than nerf them with how gaming communities are (just look at the raging from the patch last night).
