Elemental resistances

How many do you aim to feel confortable? I'm trying to kill Jamanra at the first encounter in act 2 and get one shoot by his fire AOE, i got like 22% fire elemental resiste.

I saw on Reddit that we should aim for :
- Level 10 : 10%
- Level 40 : 40%
- Level 75 : 75%

I that a joke? What's your oppinion/experience about that?

untill maps i didnt really care about res. i pushed max hp though.

Its simple, as much as you can. More you get, the easier game is. Screw reddit, its full of wannabe important clowns.

That's what I was aiming for too, I got 1k HP but it seems like is not enough.

Get both. My lvling gear are mostly blues with hp+resist.
Easy solution for bosses - have pairs of ele resist rings in bag. You can buy them from vendors, you got plenty from drops so you can try craft another resist or hp on them. Just 2 for each element can instantly give you like 50%.

I did try that, plus a fire resistance rune. Guess I need more of them

Check your gear. Many people die to bosses during the campaign because they equip gear without checking the base. You don't want hybrid gear but instead focus on 1 type of defense. Some HP rolls, focus on 1 defense type and fire/lightning res around 30-40% should be enough to beat him - Ofc you should be able to do some damage as well since bosses get harder the lower they are.

Damage isn't an issue, I'll try to gamble some gear and find some rings

Hybrid is fine. Just take the hybrid nodes on the tree.

why would you not have resists capped if possible? just curious? 22% is terrible for fire resist.

I only really care about resistance before boss fights, and equipt rings or an amulet to boost resistance. Otherwise I dont see a need.

If your resistences are not capped in maps you will die....its as simply as that. 75% is minimum. Then you pray you don't run into too much phys and chaos damage
