Do you hate Frost Mage this much?

Frost Mage is getting nerfed patch after patch.

At this point I will just delete the character. Not like it was useful in mid-high tier maps anyways...

This game is a slog. Had progressed to near the end of act 2 with a frost mage build and it's pretty worthless now. It's like they want to squeeze every drop of fun and progression from the game. Just going to delete and take a break for a good long while.

You can cover the loss of frost stacking by slotting support gems in your passive tree and passive slots that increase freeze duration, then they will stay frozen longer, it also gets augmented by the curse so the reduction isn't actually that bad.

or Maybe, MAYBE, he just started a new monk character when he wrote the comment? He is very similar to me in that sense, bc I just started a new monk character as well.

Swap out Cast on Frost for Cast on Crit.
