Can I play this on shared screen on PC with another person?

I want to play on the same PC with another person, does it work? Do I need 2 different accounts? How does it work?

You would need two accounts for that but also not possible to do the split screen thing.

Yes you can with 2 controllers on the same account me and the wife have been doing it since it launched.

You're basically playing the same account progress is saved on the Host. The host player needs to have 2 controllers (or emulated controllers) and 2 characters. You then set Controller 1 to Main and Controller 2 to Character 2 in your game settings (cog wheel in the top left of character select screen)
