Weapon Support Gem Slot

How do i increase it, I can use jewellers orb on my gem skills to increase the support gem slots but not my weapons skill, how do i increase it?

I am talking about the specific skill i get with my weapon at the very top when i press "G"

Those merge into items to add sockets to weapons/armor. I think he is asking how to get more Support Gems for his Basic Attacks.

oh. yes. skills provided by weapons to my knowledge can't be upgraded, BUT higher item level weapons will come with more support slots.
