I won't say the game is "too hard" but more that "some clases are too weak".
Few gems + supports can wreck anything using a paperclip and some gum as stuff.
While other builds require minmaxing to work, wich is an issue. Melee have an outstanding DPS (monk especially) but is really punishing, while crossbow based builds do a little less dps overall (i feel like so anyway) but with basicaly 0 risk taken and only needing to roll away bigger bosses while melting them from afar.
As of the need to roll dodge, it was stated for (years?) months at least that GGG wanted to go more on the "play while looking your screen" part. When poe1 became basicaly an idle game where you just moved around killing everything automaticaly while watching some tv show on your 2nd monitor lol.
Yep totaly agree, like i said i think a lot of gems need to be buffed to be usable corectly, and idealy with a "similar invesment". I'm pretty sure anything can work, but some build require really high amount of stuff / lvl to work, wich is an issue.
