Question about spirit gem upgrade

I have been upgrading my spirit gem *cast on shock* yet it seems upgrading only increase required attribute and its level inspected through the text yet there is not a single benefit to it. Do i miss something if anybody could enlighten me i would be glad.

I guess you get better energy generation, or lower energy treshold with higher lvl. Thats how it works on cast on freeze, at certain lvl i can trigger comet on single freeze, lower lvl need 2 (its like lvl 11 fills to 97%, at lvl 12 its 100+%). You can see energy in buff bar in %.

There must be, otherwise what would be the point of levelling it up?

Did you press Alt (or whatever controller button) to lock the details and check if there are multiple tabs in the description for more details about how it works and the benefits it adds. I really can't believe it doesn't add a benefit, but then again, it might just allow higher gems to be added to it?

You can check what the gems do in higher levels on poe2db. From the looks of it, it increases the energy generation with percentage. 2% per level so with a level 20 gem you would get 20+ 20*38% energy per shock

Thanks for asking this, I was confused as well. I hope they will add this description into the game, there are a lot of spirit gems which don't have description about leveling them

Its the last sentence of gem description with changing number as you lvl up.
