Interupts and delayed actions feel clunky
I was looking for "interupt" topics but didn't find any. Am I the only one who is upset of permanently being interupted by enemies while performing a spell?
Sometimes it feels like only half of spells I use does really cast. every time I cast a spell and an enemy hit me before the spell is released, it's interupped and nothing happened. this just does not feel good. the gameplay feels a bit clunky and annoying because of this.

I love the game but this is something that should be changed in my opinion for just a more fluent gameplay.

yes agree, the best way to combat this is to stack attack speed and movement speed and use a fast weapon, there is much less time for you to be stunned, also more attack speed and move speed is basically defense anyway as you can move around more and not get hit. also give your mobility skill as much attack speed as possible. the phase boots can help to if you can get them

It`s the same for melee. especially when you are halfway through a long ass spinning attack animation and it still can get interrupted. annoying as hell

You're getting stunned. You need to build for Stun Threshold (or a ton of Evasion) if you use long attacks and are expecting to tank hits while executing them.

Or just go for Attack/Cast/Skill speed and finish those attacks faster. The game is a sandbox full of tools to solve any issue.

Hard to do when we barely loot crafting material... I'm level 45 and I've looted 2 chaos orbs and 10 exalts so far. If I end up having any defense stats at this point it's because they got there by complete luck lol

just make sure your weapon base has a higher attack speed, there is a always a base around your level with decent speed. put the 25% speed support gem on leap attack, get the max movespeed for your boots at your level. run earth quake as you dont have to stand in front of the enemy to kill it. go on poe 2 trade website and find a blue mace with physical damage and attack speed. problem solved

This doesn’t make sense though. If that’s the case then I’m getting stunned repeatedly by one hit from white mobs that are several levels under me. In a horde of white mobs my basic quarter staff attack gets interrupted every single hit from them, multiple times in a row so that I can’t even finish one single attack. If that is the stun mechanic that doesn’t follow the rules of them game. Getting stunned massively increases your stun resistance for a short period of time yet I’m getting stunned repeatedly by single hits from white mobs? If that’s the case this the stupidest design choice ever

They have a support gem to fix this. Its called Unbreakable
"200% more Stun Threshold while using Supported Skills"

Use it until your character/gear is good enough to deal with stuns without it.

Ya, thats called stun. Its one of the few cc that mobs have against players. There is a an item stat and tons of skill nodes dedicated to combating it directly. Or like some others have suggested attack speed. Or Unbreakable support gem. Lots of options. You just didn't know, and now you know.
