I love this game, its just what I was looking for and didn't even know it. I have only minor gripes and difficulty is not one of them. I don't want this to turn into d4 blow up screen mode ever.
Fix your gear.
Fix your gems.
Walk in a circle around the bosses.
Why did you spend 45 minutes dieing to a boss on repeat rather than repeating the previous zone ten times for gear and levels? At some point the fault is on you.
I agree with you 100%. I'm tired of games adopting the "Souls-Like" difficulty levels in games. At least let players adjust their difficulty level like you can in Diablo 4. Not everyone is into the Souls-Like difficulty levels in games. GGG is shooting themselves in the foot by doing this. Extreme difficulty levels is catering to a specific group of people and is going to alienate a lot of players. Doing that is also removing potential revenue when it comes to the cash shop. It makes no sense. And not everyone has the time to invest in endless attempts to fell a boss character.
Another thing that is killing this game for me is the fact that if you die before you can pick up a piece of loot, the loot disappears when you resurrect. That to me is completely evil and unnecessary. I love POE1 and I want to love POE2. But it's too stressful. I love ARPGs and play them to unwind. But this one has me wanting to punch holes in my walls.
yes it's hard, sometimes you need to up your level more and then try checking out what element the boss is vulnerable to and if it is armored (you can see the icons on lower right of the boss health bar, red means it's vulnerable and other colors means the boss has resistance to it, it also mentions it sometimes below the boss health bar itself. so you have to adjust your equipment and skills (if you are able to) tailor made to defeating the boss or even the damn mini-bosses.
im playing a minion witch and have the arsonist and frost skellies switching depending on the boss and mob on the map, i also use the vulnerabiltiy curse (which in hindsight was a good thing because the mobs on act 3 are almost always armored, fckin hell) other skills i am using right now are bonestorm, switching between frostbolt and firebolt with the support that splits into multiple projectiles(forgot the name of the supp skill), contagion paired with ed and the totem that fires at mobs having chaos damage, cast on minion death that casts a chaos type curse(also forgot the name lol), unearth (helps with additional minions when there are corpses around). i mostly switch inbetween armors too to up my resists when fighting bosses (especially the lightning boss dude in act 2 and the fire witch mini boss in act 3 in the bog where you can loot the +30 spirit after killing her).
being in a party makes the boss harder so you either solo it (like i did on the bosses mentioned earlier because we couldnt just finish it when in a party and gave up to rest lol) or you can adjust the party settings, you can disable the setting where it adjusts your levels and you'll have an exp penalty (we did this when i was helping a lower leveled guild member when killing the wolf because our party of three couldnt finish the damn thing off so we tried disabling it and somehow we beat it and then just turned the setting back on again)
It burned me out on the game already, too much of a time sink.
