Why is Boss loot lost after death?

Something new happened to me just now, killed a campaign boss, but got killed a few seconds after from its minions. I saw one unique and a rare item drop, and was happy that I am finally going to update by build somewhat. However, this is when I figured out that all items that the boss dropped, ARE ALSO RESET, AS ARE ALL MOBS. Boss is dead, and I cannot get those items anymore, as they do not exist anymore. This should not be a mechanic.

Because the maps resets, and I don't think that intentional as I didn't lose loot on day one.

Luckily, it was not a boss that drops a required quest item to progress, I have no idea if that will be a soft-lock.

happened to me two, lost a evasion base unique drop while looking to upgrade that very slot. was upset for a good 20 mins.

it really do feel bad.



if it dropped a quest item you would have to reset the instance and kill the boss again, Shift click on waypoints in world map I believe.

Had this happen to me a week ago. I literally ripped my headset off and logged out. I don't think I'm going to bother coming back, would have to play through the whole campaign again just to get boss loot is frustrating beyond belief.

Because you stepped into the boss death animation and were killed, simple as that. No life no loot.

Just happend to me, so no fix for this to this day
