If you have played games where you fight multistage bosses you should expect the chance of it happening.
You people would have lost your mind.
and it's always been a trash lazy concept. QTE's have been in gaming forever too, widely regarded as trash lazy game design.
I can't
I make one criticism and you are are here to defend a game that's clearly got issues. A game that should be an improvement over the first game. To me? This is an aspect of the game that's dumb. It doesn't make the game better, to me, it negatively impacts my enjoyment of the game.
Also Dumbest thing you've ever read? Have you read the comment directly above yours? I feel like you were posting your comment as he was very easily taking that crown.
I'm not wrong though, path of exile on the whole is a spiritual successor to the old diablo's.
Don't try bucking this onto me, I'm not the one mocking you for playing hardcore and saying your dumb to complain about the hp bars.
All I've done is lay out that its an old game trope and that the devs were clearly inspired and by their own words by diablo 1 and 2.
Could they change this in some way? yeah. But you wont reach them here post it on the GGG forums. Wont get nothing done on these forums.
You need to learn what 'successor' and 'inspired' mean.
It might not be new, but having a boss hit a new phase at a % of health makes more sense than just resetting the health bar.
But that means the boss being attacked at % of the original bar will be either far too slow to track the progress of the final (or later) stage(s), or the initial 'boss' fight stage will only show tiny amounts of health being peeled.
I'd suggest there is a layered health bar, which shows the upper 2/3 of the bar being the 'active' boss stage health, with some indication of how many later stages (2, 3 or more?) as thin health lines stacked at the lowest part of the bar.
The again, a lot of this is about learning. Sometimes you have to learn and die, but people seem to take offense at that. Even though having to learn harsh life lessons is common enough.
Act 1 Boss Shape shifts into his final form first stage... uses all the same skills + his base skills (arguably scarier in his first stage being as how it's actually BOTH FORMS). Then he 'transforms' into his final form and has an invulnerable phase where he can attack you while you fight adds.
♥♥♥♥♥♥ boss fights with commercial brakes for adds are BS.
This is not a hard fight. This is a dumb fight, chalk full of cheese and I know cheese.
I just wanted a mozarella gouda game, i didn't expect to have to provalone them ideas after ten years of aging POE1. See? That's cheese. I know cheese.
I do enjoy Havarti play much more in POE2. Wiping with the bois really takes the edge off.
