Is Vulkan really that good?
test it's free once the game is paid for
3440x1440, 32 RAM, 7800X3D, 3090: DX12 50-60 FPS, Vulkan 80-90, w/o DLSS.
I'd test it out, I'm having the opposite experience of the guy who replied to you. I'm getting slightly more FPS after enabling.
Almost the same specs as you haha. I'm on a 4090 though, the rest are the same specs xD
Not sure if you have, I'd maybe try undervolting the 7800x3D in the future. Gave me a bit of a performance boost! Lots of videos out there. More performance and lower temps!
The only place where the game behaves in an "un-optimized" manner is in towns where for some reason my CPU literally runs at 100% on all cores boosted ALL THE TIME. Wondering if Vulcan will resolve this.
Edit: Nope. Still CPU limited in town. (100fps but still..)
Also, Vulcan seem to give bad visual artifacts on the ground (like noise).
Yea I guess it varies with people. I don't notice any visual noise. Just slightly better performance. I didn't have issues either with stability, I haven't had any crashes or anything personally. I just randomly decided to try Vulkan and it was a bit better than DX12.
