Are you guys using DX12 or Vulkan?
Curious to know what other people are running. I noticed a slight FPS increase switching to Vulkan. My GPU is Nvidia though, and my CPU is AMD.

DX12 and no crashes but you making me think about testing the Vulcan.
The only place where the game behaves in an "un-optimized" manner is in towns where for some reason my CPU literally runs at 100% on all cores boosted ALL THE TIME. Wondering if Vulcan will resolve this.

Edit: Nope. Still CPU limited in town. (100fps but still..)
Also, Vulcan seem to give bad visual artifacts on the ground (like noise).
Seems like you may have FSR on or upscaling maybe? I've ran both DX12 and Vulkan doesn't show noise. Only when I tried on my Deck i got a little noise but, that's due some very weird resolution scaling with the game engine. Example: while docked and connected 1080p monitor, the game does not see it; still only shows some "compatible" Deck screen resolutions but not the correct ones. All my other games see the connected monitor fine and display at 1080p.

Vulkan, FPS is significantly more stable, power usage is 20% less for the same frame rate on a 4090.

Vulknan, have been running DX12 then my PC crashed twice out everytime I got into a boss fight. Switched to Vulkan and has not crashed since.

On windows vulkan lower hotspot. On linux dx12 - more fps and lower temps.

Vulkan is the only way I have a chance to play maybe 3-5 different areas before the game completly freezes and crashes...

Vulkan. Had crashes on DX12. I am on 4080Super. Crashes stopped as soon as I switched to Vulkan.

I haven't tried Vulkan yet, but this game is poorly optimized. Thankfully I haven't had any stability issues - no crashes or freezes and the FPS is between 100-160 depending on how many effects are on screen.

HOWEVER, the temperatures I've been getting in this game are higher than any other, higher than way more demanding games like Cyberpunk 2077, KCD, Total War WH3, etc... insane.

Was getting CTD's on DX12, once in a few hours. Switched to Vulkan, GPU is generating bit more heat, performance is about the same and not a single CTD since then.

!00% Vulkan. DX12 is way too unstable

Its interesting. I've been switching between both and noticed that with Vulkan on my rin, I do get higher frames, but it fluctuates drastically anywhere from 65-90 with me just taking a few steps, whereas DX12 stays at a consistent 75 no matter what. So just due to the stability of DX12, I'll have to go with that, as consistent FPS > Fluctuating FPS.

I do play at 1440p with all graphics maxed and no DLSS.

I get less crashes with Vulkan. In PoE 1, dx12 works wonderfully for me.

Vulkan for stability

Im using Vilkan during it less crashable, but it still crashes my game with kernelbase.dll error
