The game is bad
My initial hype was quickly dampened.
What bothers me about the game:
The loot is rubbish. Yellow boxes throw white stuff that I can't use.
Elite opponents only throw rubbish.
The boss fights are a disgrace and at the end, when you finally manage to beat the boss after 10 minutes of fighting and numerous deaths, he also only throws rubbish. Where is the reward system? I'm not wasting any more time on this game because it's just not worth running through the world and only getting bad loot.

White-tier items are actually super useful for crafting. It’s clear you haven’t spent much time looking into how crafting works. Most dropped items can either be enchanted or dismantled to create something valuable. If all you’re doing is waiting around for the perfect item to drop, you’re setting yourself up for a rough experience.

I just learned you can't have duplicate support skills like arcane tempo (faster casting) at the same time. Can only use it on 1 single skill at a time. That's insane. This game is so limiting compared to 1 that it makes my head spin. I mean, they really removed a lot of stuff.

You can enchant items for currency and for crafting, on the passive tree refunder npc free identify items without using the scrolls and safe gold

They took every complaint across the entire genre and actually used them to build this game.

They have completely limited and gutted the skill system, and then punished you for dying.
I have never seen such a blatant self-sabotage, its somehow more impressive and pathetic than Helldivers 2.

Now does the game explain that to him or does he now know that because you told him?
You should NOT have to watch a youtube video to learn how to play a game.

It's actually a good thing so people don't use the same ones over and over. It means you are made to experiment. You are saying it's limited but you want to limit YOURSELF.

The experimentation factor is waaaaaay down in this. Should be the other way around. Example: They got rid of a pile of awesome movement skills so we could dodge instead? The devs made so many weird decisions that it almost seems like PoE 1 is the sequel. It's all backwards.

Hovering your mouse over each item provides a description of what it does, so yes, the game does explain things. It’s up to the player to read and learn. If you’re looking for a hand-holding experience, this game probably isn’t for you. Take the time to read the tooltips and explore the game. If your attention span can’t handle that, this game might not be the right fit.

I don't think the game is bad but, as far as sequels go, I'm extremely confused.

This is my only gripe with the game so far. I have a conspiracy theory that they are making it intentionally hard on purpose to give us a different experience then reverting it close to 1.0

That's fine if you don't like it but many do, I replied about the gems which is infact making you experiment if you can't use the same ones over and over.

Blocked and moving on. You don't even realize that "white" items can be the most powerful items in the game. Maybe you should do more listening instead of talking? :praisesun:

The game is both good and bad. It has a lot of potential, they just have to realize what they are doing wrong and fix the larger issues with the game. Hopefully a year from now, PoE 2 game will be amazing. It would be quite sad if by then we are all back to playing PoE and the "D4 bad" meme morphs into "PoE 2 bad."

I want this game to be good so badly. I had been waiting for this game for many years.

THIS THIS THIS.

White Tier items are the foundation of the crafting system. Always keep your eyes open for the base item that you need. Turn it into a Magic Item and if the first Magic bonus is good, add another.
