REDUCE RESPEC COST
Respecing is TOO expensive and promotes Meta Chasing instead of experimentation.
Reduce cost of respecing by at least 90% so experimenting is FUN instead of ballbustingly expensive

I agree but the game just launched and influencers are free advertising. They're not going to fix that very soon.

I don't get games with high respec cost or no respec. I've never seen "cheap/easy respec" under CONS in a review, have you guys? It always seems to go over extremely well across the board with players..

The gold cost scaling of respec is pretty insane.

I feel like, at the very least, respecs should be cheaper until level 70. The cost scales so aggressively that you're burning through tons of cash when you're level 30ish and want to change a few nodes.

How do you not have a surplus of gold?
Getting gold gains is easy.

bro I've had like 20k gold by level 15
Identify and sell your items and you'll never care about gold
Respec is laughably cheap

Right? At level 50 I respecced 30+ nodes for around 1.6k->1.9k each and it wasn't hard, just took a bit of time.

It does seem like a fair question why respeccing has to have any cost at all.

It's a videogame. There is no material difference in how many zeroes are added to or subtracted from the fee. It's not like there's an NPC in town that isn't going to send his kids to college because the value of respecs went down.
Vespertellino Dec 9, 2024 @ 9:04am
Oh I agree that it should be free and also shouldn't require you to go to an npc to do that. None of it serves any purpose but to annoy the player. There's literally no value in it.

But as it is, it isn't too costly anyways.

Respec cost scales with your level, but its never an unreasonable amount unless youre not playing the game and just failing to zoom.

Respec's should be free during EA, at least for the first few weeks/months so you can play around. I thought the whole point of EA was to do advanced Beta testing and give feedback, we shouldn't be punished for doing that.

Agreed here. Actually since it's the early access, they should make respeccing free since that means people will experiment more and they can gather more data on what skill combinations are busted and which ones deserve more love.

It's counterproductive for them to put barriers that prevent us from experimenting more.

That's a good point too. None of this carries over to the full release anyways.
