Cosmetic way too expensive ?
Hi guys, I'm usually getting skins whenever they I feel like they fit my character, so I checked the prices:

-1 full skin = 350 coins
-50 coins cost 5 euros
-1 skin costs 35 euros

how is that a fair price ? that's the game's price. How is that even possible?
To give you an idea, the average skin price on LoL is 5euros.
On Tekken 8, Street Fighter5/6 it's also 5 euros.

Diablo 4 = 20-30€ aswell

The early access is paid, the full game is free. You support through cosmetics, it's how GGG always have done it and how they will continue to.

The price could be argued for sure (I personally would love a 20% decrease on everything) but that's basically their whole income and what funded this game too.

Hence why every league has many *supporter* packs, which also gives you premium currency to buy more cosmetics on top of the ones you paid for.

Since when did you buy cosmetics or stash tabs when they weren't on sale?

The First Descendant cosmetic costumes look excellent and cost just 2-20$ yet people still call it "predatory monetization". And if people will complain regardless of the price - why not just make them expensive? At least the complains will be justified :lunar2019crylaughingpig:

you're comparing the cosmetic prices of paid and f2p games. POE2 by right isnt a "paid" game, you're only paying cuz its early access, it becomes free during full release.

What you're technically paying for to get early access is the 300 points.

Anybody who played POE1 can finish the entire game without spending any money at all, so do you think the devs would maintain the game if their skins were all 5 bucks or lower?

You pay because you support the game, besides they do sales on alot of stuff quite frequently.

Other games you mentioned are paid, the cosmetics/dlcs are cheaper because the pricec is alr baked into the game's price.

U shld honestly be glad we dont have classes locked behind a paywall.

Lol more like 1000 points if you want an armour set and a back attachment. most of them look ass anyway. Grim setting but with High fantasy armour + stupid crab back packs

40$ is not enough to buy Nightfall off sale, you would have to spend an additional 5$ to get it which leaves 30 left over. I love this game but this is textbook tricks that games with MTX use to manipulate you. Arachnamagus is 360 on sale, you HAVE to spend an extra $10 to get it if you bought base edition. You have to overspend which then leaves you with money left over to insentivise you to purchase more.

I would be more inclined to purchase points if they were more rewarding but I guess they want to just focus on people who will spend hundreds on the game for a few skins and not those who might spend 10 or 20 every couple months for a few skins.

I kinda like the crab backpacks, They look goofy and very out of place which is why i love them

I do feel like the skins in general do need to be lowered in terms of price, Not only will it encourage people to buy more cosmetics like portals, armor and pets but it will also allow those who can't afford things to buy

I dunno i feel like having a sale during paid early access would be a win for them considering you now have players willing to pay to play your game and putting a big discount will allow you to milk them even more, And im down for a milking so long as i'm getting cheaper skins

Dunno maybe its just me.

most armor sets cost even more than 40€ who buys a skin for the price of a game either has too much money or is stupid, whatever, everyone as he likes
since skins don't make you better at the game, they can make it even more expensive, nobody has to buy the overpriced pixels

I have to agree with the OP. As an ardent capitalist supporter and fully in-line with GG needing to make money - this is the company's monetization system - and they will not, and should not, provide the game for free. With that said, 450 coin (i.e. $45) for a skin is outrageous. McDonalds sells cheesburgers. Selling cheeseburgers is how they make money. But if they charge $20 for a cheeseburger, noone is going to buy it. Like any product sold by any company, prices are elastic and at a certain price, people are unwilling to buy at that price. Reduce the price to a more reasonable point and you will find more willing buyers, and ultimately higher sales than you will by charging the higher price that most people are unwilling to pay.

Let's look at stash tabs. A premium quad is 150 gc ($10.50). That is a lot of money just for a stash tab. Bring that down to maybe 100gc or even lower, and I'd be willing to buy 2 or 3 of them. In the end, higher sales.

Paid cosmetics in a non f2p game shouldn't even exist in the first place.
Sell the game or sell cosmetics, you can only pick one.

Can you imagine they charged you 60 for the game then 20-30 for DLC every new league the game would have never lasted. The Fact you can even now play 9 acts and how ever many league mechanics and a utterly huge end game for free there isn't any benefits to buying anything in the store that gives you a boost to xp or anything.

Yeah its advised to get stash tabs as it makes sorting things so much easier and you pay 2-30 for that for 13 years worth of content, what game gives you that wow charge you 10 a month and charge you for the game and DLC and MTX and sell gold.

If your into making your char look blue or flashy great they accommodate you and thats on you i coudln't care less, whos gonna see it me maybe a few people in town yeah great but thats on the person playing.
