Very loud fan
Fps dropped to 32 and computer fan became extremely loud. I started to panic and closed the game. I am afraid the game can just burn my PC. Anyone else experienced this before?

Playing in 1440p on 4070 ti + 5 5600x. Never heard my pc becoming more than just silent.

Monitor your temps with nvidia geforce overlay, top left will display details while in game.

will do cpu and gpu utilization too.

I would recommend turning on dlss, and limiting the frame rate to something like 90, it's probably just set to uncapped fps and using as much of your system resources as it can.

try to cap your fps to 60

Its heavy on CPU, you fan going crazy might be a hint to monitor your temps. Also manually limit the FPS

This is not 1990, hardware dont suicide that easy. Proper PC will just shutdown if it gets too hot.

I would suggest cap your FPS in settings so PC wont try to run in on max, resulting in CPU or GPU running at 100%.
CAP your FPS in game . gl

I am playing with vsync and fps always 75 (73 for a reason)

And what are your temps?

Turn vsync off. Also check graphic settings if you dont have something resource hungry turned on, like upscaling.

I wish people would understand that a game isn't going to destroy your PC, and if it does, it was gonna die soon anyway (ie, not the fault of the game).

Let your fans run. If your PC BSODS, fix your PC.

cap 60 is always the best option for games AND your gpu ... only if you play fast fps games you should cap it to 144/165 hz

my fans running extremely high as well. i capped fps at 60 and turned vsync off and tried different renderers. like Vulkan, nothing works. I will pause for a while the game, its a brand new pc and i dont want it destroyed. They should split the load so its not just CPU hungry but also GPU.

Your cpu cooling is not adequate, it tried to cool it down with max rpm (assuming you're talking about your cpu fan being loud), and when it couldn't do that it throttled down to reduce the temp, hence your fps dropping to 32.

I'm not even using that much processor, but my 4070 ti super is fully utilized. My CPU could push something more powerful. I've been very pleased with my 7800x3d. I'll have to keep an eye on it I guess. I haven't seen temperature spikes.

I have no idea why this is happening but it's probably something to do with the game engine. When I do a lot of lightning rod + galvanic shard combos and the whole screen lights up, the GPU fan goes crazy. GPU temp never goes above 50C so I'm not sure why the fan is going crazy. According to my GPU fan curve, it should hover around 900 RPM at 50C, but it goes up to 2000 RPM.

Edit: Decided to check GPU hot spot temps to see if it was the culprit and sure enough. Even though main temp doesn't exceed 50C, the hot spot temp easily reaches 70C.
