Go to the hooded fellow and click the refund points button.
IT costs gold per point you refund.
Refund what you need to refund, then hit confirm.
Now go to your passive tree and spend them again.
Most of the areas drop a reasonable amount of skill gems for same level, but the first act is a killer, I spent most of it increasing the level on my 3 skills I was using, causing me to not have more then 3 skills, and used my spirit stone on something in the recommended tab (withering preasence) that I didnt realize was only for chaos damage, that I was not using at all.
I ended up just swapping to another class (namely warrior, i wanted to try it but knew i wouldnt be finishing the game) and just clearing the game with minimal skill stones up until the king in the mist and his free spirit stone, then stripped him of gear, sent it back to the main guy, applied an actual build off a guide, and 1shot the act1 boss i had been stuck on because my build sucked.
What would really help this is if in the super early game, similar to choosing the mouse or keyboard controls it gave you an option "would you like a suggested leveling build for your class, this will last until the end of act 2" where it highlights a specific set of skill gems and will highlight the best equipment but forces you to go through the motions so that you never end up totally screwed.
act 2 on you get enough drops that it isnt really an issue.
or just give us access to a free set of the lowest tier skill stones, like if you open the skill window you can hit an empty gem slot and it becomes any skill stone you can use (I really think this is best) it would let people experiment with different skills in the early game and decide on a good playstyle without them having to burn resources they need on it.
Grind? you are drowning in them. I have nearly 500 in my stash just sitting around. I am not sure what you are talking about?
And in the campaign you get enough from the quests.
And respeccing IS a lot easier than in poe 1.
That does not mean you get to respec your char every 20 minutes without consequences.
Something tells me you haven't gotten past level 10.... or act 1? And those barely require a good passive skill tree.
getting skills is literally the most easiest thing to do lol... skill gems drop like mad...support gems drop like mad.. my gem tab is 500/500 because they drop that much i have 2 quad stashes FULL of gems too... get a grip man... respecing is cheap as hell since last update.
higher level gems can make any skills at or below its level.
support gems 3, can make all. support gems 2, can make level 1 and 2. and 1 is 1.
learn to play the game ffs.. its literally simple... im new to poe and i know this... people like you are whats wrong with gaming
TLDR? skill issue
Ex. like if you go monk and you pick the ascendancy that no one uses, you stuck with that and it is the pitts to see all the builds use the other ascendancy and not the one you didn't know was bad.
Skill gems are poping out every run you do.
