but I had to try like 5 times until I succeeded and it was just a click-fiesta. Not healthy or good gameplay or what I expect from a good game.
I cheesed him as a sorcerer from very far distance where he was nearly out of my screen and walked around the pilar in the middle. It felt really stupid but the only way to dodge his attacks that always hit me no matter what.
Still, a lot of his attacks has stupid accurate tracking - especially the melee attacks - but you can sorta get away with it by dodging at the right time. Another thing with this fight is that you really gotta pack some CC somewhere especially if you're melee - hell, that's actually what helped me in my merc despite it taking longer than ideal because i screwed the build up. Had like freeze and immobilised and it does interrupt his attacks if you get him CC'd. A lot of his attacks also has sound cues. His big long conal ground attack has its own line. With the various wraith attacks - you really just need to figure out which is which. The one where it pops up where you're standing then coming back down on your second position is the trippy one, i'd say, because you get a debuff that slows you down and makes it harder to dodge. At the very least it doesn't cause too much damage unless he follows up the ground conal attack because that goes through the pillar which can be annoying. The others are basically just long ranged baited attacks of different forms.
Honestly, I'd say they should nerf the tracking on attacks, otherwise it's a pretty good gate boss, as I'd like to refer to it, to test your early build with.
