loading screens causing system crash BSOD
I've never gotten a blue screen of death from any other game but this game seems to cause my PC to hard freeze and then Blue screen of death when loading into the game, or loading into a new zone.

I've looked through the event viewer and even looked at what the bsod error code
was: Driver Power State Failure error

I've changed my PC's power setting while plugged in to prefer performance I've done a few sfc runs and even a dism scan both of which did find some errors, and the event viewer said that my Game input service was stalling out repeatedly and restarting right before each crash so it has already been reinstalled but, i'm curious if anyone else has had any BSOD with this game?

my setup is several years old at this point and my specs are:
GPU: 3070
CPU: i7-9700f
and 32 GB of ram

Haven't had the benefits from a BSOD to give any error messages, but my PC also dies when loading into new areas.

Similar specs
GPU: 3070
CPU: Ryzen 7 3700X
RAM: 32 GB

Check your CPU temps (HW Monitor or eq), normally the "Driver Power State Failure BSOD" is when the CPU is trying to Declock its self to prevent damage but fails to do it in time. CPU's seem to really get warm in this game... ( Happens to me with Hell divers for RAM temps).

You might have to use windowed mode to see the temps if you only have 1 monitor as its the last 3 seconds you need to see before BSOD*

I have the same problem. Yesterday everything was fine, today every time I load the game BSOD. This is very frustrating!

Disable integrated graphics card

If this does not help, then set in the settings:
Vulkan
fullscreen mode
disable overlay in steam
Maximum processor state 99%

Initially, I set all these settings, but after disabling the integrated video card, the game stopped freezing

My PC: 4080s , 7800x3d , windows 11 24h2

I've already tried setting it to vulkan and it's still crashing everytime. I will try the rest later on today. However judging by the fact that the game worked 2 days ago and that the game received a small update yesterday when I first started the game, I'm inclined to think that the update it's at fault here.
My pc: ryzen 7700, nvidia 3070ti, 32Gb RAM, win 10 22H2

Its not BSOD, the mouse is barely but moving.
Sometimes in a couple minutes freezing ends by disconnecting from server

for me it was fixed after i turned off nvidia overlay and steam hud.

i also set the game to always launch as admin but i doubt that did anything.

I turned off nvidia overlay and steam overlay it still crashes BSOD.

BSOD means you get a blue screen and the PC reboots.IF it is not doing that you don't have a BSOD. IT literally stands for Blue Screen of Death. Its an Operating System ( Windows) crash and is caused by hardware, drivers, and corrupt system files., Failing hardware most likely culprit if your PC is old...or perhaps malware.

BSOD can be caused by the above mentioned causes, but it's not limited to these. Buggy software can cause this also, especially when 5 other games work fine without BSOD on the same machine. Further more this particular game worked fine 3 days ago on the same machine.

which proves its not the game. Its the same game. It didn't magically transform into soemthing else.

Something for sure wrong with the loading screens and even bringing up the map.
CPU goes from 40% to 99% from doing those things.
To be frank, opening the map or loading screen not much is happening, no reason for it to spike the CPU, something is wrong with those things they need to fix it.

Game is obviously doing a lot more than displaying a screen. Loading means loading stuff.

it was causing BSOD for me, giving me an error code, then restarting, it didn't do it for any other program and those crashes only ever happened while playing the game, though after one of the games updates it no longer causes those crashes or the BSOD. they must have fixed the code
