PC Freezing/Crashing

Each time I try to load into a new area my PC needs a hard restart everytime. Just wondering if others are having this issue. Only happens with POE2.

I can confirm this. AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D and RTX 4070 super. Game is randomly freezing the pc and forces me to hard shut the pc every time.

I think everyone having problems is using nvidia rtx card. Processors are different but the cards I see are always nvidia.

My game has been running fine up until tonight, where I've been experiencing freezes and crashes when loading the game and taking portal from town. New patch is 0.1.0d. The sound loops, the pc is frozen and needs a hard reset.

PC Crashing on me as well. Usually when zoning but has happened during gameplay. AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX 3.30GHz. 64 GB ram. RTX 3070 Ti. Windows 11 24H

During zoning with both Dx12 & Vulkan. Also when switching between the two in the login screen. Ryzen 7 7800X3D, RTX 4090, Windows 11 Version 24H2.

Only started happening in the last 1-2 days however this actually coincides with my PC updating to Windows 11 24H2 2 days ago. Before this I had no such crash asides from disconnecting to login screen on map zoning.

This is still happening to me all the time in loading screens. Tons of pc crashing. I have to restart constantly.

I keep crashing as well, which hardlocks my PC. Disabling multithreading avoids the hardlock, but the game crashes eventually either way. Also, disabling multithreading obviously lowers the game's performance by a lot, making the game unenjoyable. I also tried disabling the game from running on all cores via set affinty, sadly, this becomes a hassle since you have to do it everytime you launch the game and it doesn't stop the game from crashing it just avoids the hardlock thus allowing you to close the game from task manager.

You must disable engine mulithreading before each loading in game end enable after loading

I saw a possible fix somewhere I think Reddit and I've had no problems since the change been playing since my last post (fingers crossed it actually sticks, still noticing high CPU usage on portal use though mind you) --

Search bar on Windows, System -> Display -> Graphics, Add PathOfExileSteam (Mine was found in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Path of Exile 2\PathOfExileSteam.exe)

And then make sure GPU preference is set to your GPU and not the 'Let Windows Decide' option. Which my setting was on for some reason. Possibly due to Windows update. Hope this fixes my problem and possibly anyone elses.
