Will character customization ever be a thing ?

I mean it's 2024. We need to be able to fully customize our characters right ? I'm hoping we don't have any character customization because it is EA.

You are going to be covered in equipment or your cosmetics the whole game so..... what exactly are you asking for here?

You have the only kind of character customization that matter in poe 1 and 2. You can customize how you build a character. The skills you use, the equipment you wear, the passive skill tree. If you wanna play dress up Barby go play another game.

TBH, its why I've held off on the game. Its marketed as "oh we needed specific unique characters for each class because they're so integral to the story!"

The game looks fun, but if I can't play the archetype and character I want to play, or if I have to gimp myself out of an ascendancy because of it, I just wouldn't enjoy the game personally.

Gender-locked classes is another issue. Diablo 3 came out at 2012. The "its so tough to make two characters per class" crying is indefensible in this current day and age.

The simple truth is character customization and immersion isn't really a goal for GGG, which is OK, but the constant belittling of people who do enjoy that aspect of their games grows a bit tired, especially from the rabid fanbase.

There actually is, via armor micro-transactions basically.
As in all of these isometric games, you do not see your character ever, for customization to matter, so why does it matter for you, if you gonna have a helmet on or some other ♥♥♥♥ ..

Otherwise, well, there are so many other games out there.

They can do both, especially for a game that makes so much profit from microtransactions with so little work put into it. Changing number percentages one node at a time is hardly enough to make it an RPG. Lol

Why tf are these elitist PoE vets so condescending? Why is it too much to ask for both an in depth character creator for role playing purposes, and then an in depth character builder?

PoE is great, but come tf on. A character creator is basic feature for RPGs at this point. Smug mfs, talking like a character creator will detract from the game.
