I feel scammed and want my money back.

To start this rant, i gotta say that i wasn't hyped by this game and bought only cause i played poe from the start of payed EA a lot (didn't log in for about 3-4 year) and cause my coworker mentioned that he will pay for the new one(i didn't know it will come out this soon).

Poe 2 doesn't feel like poe or d2(how many people suggest) at all. People who have honeymoon phase with this game don't realize that they will have to this all over again several time each 3 month(or idk how quickly leagues gonna come out for this new thing). The combat feel incredibly clunky, i played on gamepad and on mouse/keyboard. I really didn't enjoy doing ascendancy puzzles while being underlevled and this is how every map since the beginning feels like. Everything one hits you, the whole boss thing is a chore of doing dodge rolls and learning mechanics so every class now feels the same.

For some reason this game runs like ass on my older pc to the point where i made a switch to steam-deck where it runs okeish on low, but the deck heats up too much for my liking, so it was couch coop for me for most of this journey. Turns out i didn't have to buy two accounts (second one for my gf, she got much much better pc than mine)cause i can't use the second one for couch coop anyway, but ok, it's not leagues so it doesn't matter.

So we played for about 10 hours and i gotta say this whole thing feels like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ action top down game on ps3 that was pumped out by a movie license. I don't understand why did they change gem system, i really enjoyed the philosophy of everything being affected by everything else and even trivial thing like portal scroll having a double purpose as a trading object. I reaaaally don't understand why did they bring back gold seems like a betrayal of principals to me.

So i would like to take a refund of this, cause it's either very under-cooked or absolutely not what i expected from a poe sequel, but i remembered that if i'd get a refund on steam they will most likely ban my poe 1 account as well, is this the case still?

So since everyone bullied me into buying new pc, i gotta make an update: The game still ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks.

We played for about 3 hours and i couldn't understand why i do not enjoy it at all, like i feel my life ticking away second by second while i play poe2 and than at about hour and a half mark i dropped my first unique. It was exciting for a second, and then it was bare wasteland in terms of any kind of cool drops.


Well, idk, it seems that they patching the drops and implementing some sort of unlucky system, but i still don't understand why they had to remove shop recipes and implement gold instead, new gem system is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ confusing in comparison to the previous one and i'm talking in visuals and in mechanics themselves. All combat mechanics are just straight up boring and time wasting stuff, yeah, i see how they worked really hard ob bosses, but why would you put shaper difficulty bosses into act 1? Ok, when i mean shaper difficulty, i mean that right around shaper you gotta start managing your timings and actually move around the place or you might get combo killed. And once again, you kill shaper to get some specific loot and those new bosses are just here to waste your time, cause they aren't that hard after all, just a lot of dodging mechanics which cycles on a loop.

Overall this feels like a sidestep from original poe design which would be ok right around 2012, but certainly not an improvement on ideas.

So since i can't refund the game anymore, i decided to try to play everything from d1 to d4 and poe once again to understnad if i just fell out of love with arpgs, or this game actually just very poorly designed.

ALL of your problems come from your unwillingness to upgrade your PC to something that can play this game smoothly. This game runs buttery smooth on my PC and looks amazing. It feels like Diablo 2 if it was remade in 2024. The game is amazing so far.

Some said they were banned. Others said there was no problem.
Look into it before you do or contact support just to be clear.

No it doesn't feel like PoE or D2. It feels like PoE 2. Also I don't get this honeymoon phase comment. Most people are aware how the leagues work and I personally am looking forward to see what they throw at us.

keep in mind that this is an early access so many things will change in the 1 year before it actually releases, the main thing with people like me saying its like D2 is because from my experience you struggle with bosses and hoards of enemy unless you get a good item and know how to use your ability's properly (at least for early game) but from what i have seen people like star playing close to end game are simply playing it like poe, and it will be a bit before it becomes steam deck compatible that why it does not run well, and gold being added back as they say "When monsters don't drop loot, that doesn't feel good, so we added Gold to give them something to always be dropping." and i love this that way when i'm farming enemy's a get some sort of currency worth my time instead of getting nothing for it

ngl the puzzles while being under leveled is a you problem go kill enemy's and lv up dude

Technically, you bought a pack worth of 30 $ of MTX and points. The access key is on top of everything you get for buying a normal pack, and you can use the points and MTX on PoE1, which might alleviate a bit of your disappointment.

Upgrading a computer will make it run games better.

Yeah honestly I get a buttery smooth 100-120fps constantly and my PC isn't even that good.
I don't get why some people are having such performance issues.
