Just did the mastodon tusk thing in act 2 and I got myself some gold and blue laced boots. As a sorc. That's like 38 gold identified. I don't mind crafting ♥♥♥♥ myself or buying from vendors, but how do I buy from vendors when the gold isn't coming in the amount needed.
a) he liked that the good loot drops feel more special now because they are rarer.
b) Dislikes that fact that he believes they are still a little too rare.
For many players a key staple features of these type of ARPGs are loot drops. The lack of loot will no doubt bother many new players.
I am sure the drop rate is one of the many things that will be tweaked endlessy in early access.
For example, if you do Feylinn for Finn you can get an item after you defeated the boss and inspect the ritual site. It costs tribute points but you should have some and maybe there is a good item that you can use.
Sure, there are some places that needs some re-balancing, absolutely, but all in all I like how you're not swimming in loot either.
People are going to push back on this take because their currently in their love fest with the new game, but damn it's bad. The single biggest problem with this game right now is the absolute dearth of decent drops. By far the worst of any ARPG to date.
