Appear Offline / Invisible mode

How is it possible a game in 2024 does not support you appearing offline in the social list? (Not to mention friend requests seem to just happen even if you don't accept?)

Oh sure, it is an online game. But plenty of us have more than one group of friends and not everyone loves each other in real life. Whether they should or not. And sometimes, you just want to be unreachable, kick back with a game you like and not have to worry about your friends thinking you're being antisocial. I really can not, no matter how I reason about it, imagine why it would not be a thing. The Social screen even has a little glowing green figure making you assume you can click it to swap status.

It is such an obvious quality of life thing that I am baffled it is not there and it should obviously be implemented right away. What gives?

I agree 100%. I'm already tired of having to backtrack to help "friends" when I just wanna keep moving.

In lieu of "appear offline" in PoE 2, I just turned chat off altogether, because it's nothing but random babble, plus I haven't told anyone I know that I play PoE 2, lol. I have Steam set to show me as offline too. Guaranteed peace and quiet.
