PoE 2 is kind of a boring game tho. Boss fights are fun, but most of the time you're slogging away at boring, bullet sponge trash mobs on maps that are five times larger than they need to be. D4 would definitely be the better game if it had these boss fights. Not even a competition.

Why would they be embarrassed? The two games are going at very different things, and I'll play them both in different moods. Diablo 4 is a straight up, plow through, power fantasy that's perfect for turning off brain and relaxing. POE 2 is slow, methodical, and makes you pay attention to earn some victories. Do you own stock in GGG or something? There's literally no reason to dunk on one company/game over the other. It's weird.

Blizzard has nothing to worry about. POE 1 was a competitor, this is neither a sequel to POE 1 or the same genre as Diablo and POE 1. This Dark Souls formula will not keep players. If I wanted to play Dark Souls, well, I would play it I suppose.

This is correct. The players enjoying this are dark souls players. They will not be coming back to support the game seasonally. In fact, nobody will since spending 45 hours just to get baseline power for farming endgame is not something anyone wants to do every 4 months. These Dark Souls players will finish the and move onto the next thing. At least then, maybe we can get this game into shape as a proper arpg loot hunter.

So far D4 has better accessibility (early game character build & learning), storyline & lore, background texture.

Can someone explain to me about POE2 lore & main story? Since im at act 2, and all i know is that we have to chase octopus selling lady who somewhow manipulate everything she sees. Also slave carrying cart rocks!!

First class I made was monk, wasn't great wasn't horrible, just meh?

Luckily this game doesn't pigeon hole into playing a certain spec so I grabbed a staff and started using arc as my main skill.

It's like you guys went to the museum, didn't bother going inside then left a bad review since it lacked exhibits.

PoE's been out for like 10 years. IF Activision was going to borrow any ideas from GGG it would have happened already.

Diablo and PoE have different audiences now anyway. Diablo is more easily understood, while PoE has more depth.

As a person who loves souls games, I would too. Why? Because this is nothing like Dark Souls. The amount I see idiots like you parroting this is hilarious though. Game requires you to use your brain? Must be Dark Souls!

Their audience overlaps more than you probably think, almost completely, most gamers are not tribalistic in nature and simply enjoy games for games.

POE2 comes with over 100 inique bosses and 100s of skills combinations
D4 is dead from the get go

D4 with less then 3.5-8k players daily is a dead game
twitch views was at 1 million at the start of D4 only with a massive drop off afterwards ..
never viewed again
when comparing POE1 has over taken D4 in popularity and views on twitch and Google search engine
all the proof is there every where and with analytics on Google

it shows exactly who is more popular
D4 is dead and uninteresting
