No other ARPG gates progression like this. It's bad. I wish they'd change it. They changed respeccing and skill gems for the better for PoE2...Hopefully, they do the same here.
I don't mind a quest/sidequest chain to unlock it, but I don't like a trap dungeon, or other such thing that's essentially pass/fail because if you die, you're back to square one.
Or, they could just do away with it completely, and have you just level up 100% with XP like a normal game.
Its alot faster to complete than PoE 1 the rooms are small and you can just run through it pretty fast. Dont know if it gets harder later on in the game.
a) being in melee
b) feeling tanky
c) feeling like a tanky god in melee
And that was in PoE1 sanctum, and for wtv reason they thought it'd be great in PoE2.
Why do tanky melee characters have to "prove their strength" by rolling around and using ranged attacks?
"I ascended to a tanky titan by not letting people touch me", it's so horrendously lazy.
Warrior feels like the stepchild the didn’t want. The whole ascension trial is very convoluted and feels like they do not want you to ascend in the first place. I enjoy the difficulty of the bosses but in the end it’s a game.
One the whole system is in place, people will just choose the trail that correspond to their build. They would have to do sanctum with melee char.
The best way to fix the honor system is to remove it completely.
I'd rather the trial just be overall harder, or even lower my resistances than have to roll around with a ranged weapon as a sword and board tank.
I mean you brag about having 20k hours in path of exile I hope you'd be able to do that lol.
Also as far as melee goes, I think it probably needs to be made more clear that Warrior seems much harder than Monk.
Warrior is very incomplete compared to Monk.
