Uncut Gem Engraving Not Working?

Has anyone else gotten stuck trying to leave the first camp to get to Clearfell because you can't engrave the uncut gem you receive? I keep right-clicking to open the gem cutting menu, I pick a skill and...nothing happens. The gem remains unchanged and the game will not let me progress.

You're picking the skill and hitting engrave and nothing happens?

Definitely a bug, not one I've heard of happening yet. Does the game offer any kind of bug report issue from in-game?

are you clicking a level 1 skill?

are you clicking the word "engrave" after picking a level 1 skill?
