Ryzen 5600 lags with 99.5% utilization
So... 6 cores finally dead at the end of 2024? My CPU full loaded with some bad fps drops. I played many 2024 games, new shooters, Silent Hill 2 and no problems whatsoever. This is the first issue after 2.5 years of use. Any ideas what can i do right now without change CPU?
P.S. 5700X3D stays as my very backup plan, if this wont resolve after some patches.

Steamdeck plays this game without issue. You need to list system specs and settings or your post is pointless.

Game shouldn't be using that much CPU. A 5600x should maybe 30-40% max utilization. Something else is going on

Ok if 5600x really runs at 40% and my 5600 non X burns with 100% load im literally dont know what happens. All other games/software runs perfectly fine.

As they say without full specs this is hard, but perhaps your system is short of VRAM hence using more system RAM? That may draw the CPU utilisation you mention

I have the exact same issue since dawn of the hunt.
Ryzen 5 5600 (non X)
Rx6700xt
32gb Corsair vengeance 3200Mhz C16
2tb QLC Nvme SSD (I doubt it is the issue anyway)

And I m running windows 11
Don't turn VSYNC on, just limit the FPS.

The game started overloading my cpu as well, it's why I uninstalled it. There is something going on, and it's GGG ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the game optimization.
I have a 5600x /7800xt play on 1440p with fsr , dx12 because vulkan has been acting up for me lately. Vulkan was way better for me a couple wqeeks ago, I think the 25.25.1 driver screwed it up maybe idk. Anyways, I play on 120 fps, cpu only uses around 35-40% most of the time. It does get crazy spikes randomly, likely due to un-optomization I think.
So yeah, a 5600x should be plenty fine still.
It plays all games I throw at it with zero issues. Even oblivion remastered doesnt use more than 50% most of the time.
