Geonor Feels Awful as Warrior
Earthquake is just far too slow to bother using in the fight.

I've been doing fine running EQ but I've hit the boss at 17, and simply the ability cannot contend with the mechanics.

The only feasible attack for that boss is basic attack into boneshatter IF and that's a big if you can get stun up that high in phase 2.

There's too much anti-mobility mechanics for how slow warrior is and the intermission where we could feasibly get pot charges you spend the entire time getting body blocked and pushed around by the adds.

Either warrior needs better, fast abilities pre-act 2 or the boss needs fewer slow mechanics because this is genuinely horrid

GGG should make him spam frost skills ever 1 second - WOULD BE BETTER -.- I dodge - I am pissed as hell rn even thinking about it.

I agree this boss need refactoring or warrior need something else idk what.

UNBEATABLE

wrong
this wolf boss isnt that hard to me, im a very casual player i take time to clear the whole map on pretty much every map lol so when i face some of these bosses the time i put into clearing has my level up good enough that i can take several hits and still live. but im and old school rpg player where some game people had to grind exp to get stronger to be able to move on at a decent pace, so i like this part of the game as it slows the go go go go blast blast blast with hardly no difficulty
its not just gear dependent you actually have to use some skill
i wish i could get on lol but at the moment i cant seem to open poe 2 in steam

To be fair, Warrior is the worst class in EA.
All classes, have OP builds, etc, yes yes someone is lvl 100 on a warrior.

Now that those 2 things are out of the way:

Warrior is missing a lot of skills, Armor is not working the way it says it does, these 2 things alone set warrior so far back. My Merc DESTROED every boss in every act. Lvl 87 with 4 deaths ALL from Chaos Trial.
My Sorc I made AFTER merc, is in act 3 and already died 22 times. Some classes are just easier for some than others, but some are just weak asf in the early stages. Like Monk and Warrior. Both of which have crazy OP builds in endgame, if you can make it there and spend your life savings on gear.

They really should add an Easy Mode for you whiners and remove body block and half boss HP and damage and remove half their attacks. Then will you be happy?

I hope the devs of your favorite game turn every boss into Bed of Chaos.

There's a general problem with Act 1 and 2 bosses having way too much health. Save that ♥♥♥♥ for mid-end game, where people have enough skills, items, passives etc. to actually have a build for the game to test.

I had no issue killing Geonor with a mace and shield.... witch.

I don't remember what I used exactly in normal, but I think it was something like the regular mace attack, perfect strike, molten blast, shockwave totem and infernal cry.

In cruel I just melted him with 3 ancestral totems with molten blast socketed and volcanic fissure/sunder combo with infernal cry.

As to why witch, because infernalist hellhound to spread fire exposure with its aoe ignite and infernal flame to spam without using mana (it's actually better than blood magic when you're maxing fire resist).

The main issue people have with the game is that they don't try to find synergies.

This isn't wrong, but at the same time, if you can't beat them, it's still not the game's problem. :P

while this boss is annoying on a "First time through", the giant boss in act 2 is straight up bad.

its hit boxes just tell you that GGG didnt learn anything from large boss fights. they made the same mistake EHG did with lagon. it is just a terrible fight.

on my first playthrough which was a warrior I had to level abit and get better gear.
Even then I was forced to rely on my totems and warcry to do most of the work.

did i actually say it was hard? no. it is technically bad.

it is a fight that makes some of the skills useless to use because the hand is the hitbox that switches from "can be hit" to "cant be hit" very quickly dragging out the fight. Kitava was pretty bad about this too.

at least geonor doesn't have hitbox issues.

i noticed some other annoyances while i was leveling witch for act 1 (my third character).

skill gems not dropping at my current level (dropping a tier below)

not being able to use skill gems of my current level because of being forced to take a line of attributes in the passive tree.

first time through is where the suffering is at. once you're past this point, start a new character, and have all the support from your first character, you see all the cracks.
