I agree this boss need refactoring or warrior need something else idk what.
As a witch I get curses and summons (advised by the game I mean).
* Summons die in 1 hit and can even get killed WHILST they are spawning... so all summons are off the table
* Wolf boi has ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of HP and hits like a truck... so DoT based mages take FOREVER to get him down; can't stun him and are squishy enough to be 1-shot... not to mention you get swarmed by adds in the mist phase because you don't deal direct damage so you need time to apply and spread your dots...let alone kill any of them.. so you're body blocked into the mist and get spammed to death...
My merc took down wolf boi at lvl 14 (just beelining the story)(1 attempt)
My witch BARELY took him down at lvl 18 (after grinding for the best gear I could get for that figt specifically for TWO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HOURS)(20+ attempts)
I know bosses should be a challenge but this is just too big of a dichotemy
This is very early game big boss that should be challenging, but it is too annoying and too hard - and let's say I tried additional 5 times to beat this boss and still couldn't - I ALMOST did when boss was about to die he get to FOG and he eradicated me there coz he got this stupid mechanic that dropped "blood rain" on you every few seconds and he killed me there - I said ENOUGH and I play with Sorc rn to lvl her up coz WHAT I CAN DO beside being locked behind some stupid boss after 10 attempts I couldn't do it..... and to every idiot who will mock every person who struggle with this boss - I KNOW HOW TO PLAY game and how to dodge / move and use skills not like moron to spam them and I get hit coz I was dumb facerolling.... it isn't my fault - also I have seen few vids when he was melted easy and even no-potion run but bruh this is difficult as hell.
IDK maybe I will try to fight him tomorrow coz I am so pissed I am about to play something else to chill the f out.
Earthquake speeds up when you level it and add support gems which drop regularly to add to your abilities. I clear boss adds with it as a second thought.
Bone Shatter, Charge and Earthquake trivialize bosses with adds or lots of dodging like the druid before cemetary.
I found this boss hard. I invited a friend to come and help me. We defeated him together, not easily. It was fun. Maybe try playing with friends... if you have any.

At the level you fight him you can reduce the detonation time of earthquake to 3 seconds down from 4.
Most every boss has been fine but this one simply restricts your ability to lay them down to the point he's just not going to be in the area by the time it goes off.
If you have ways to make it faster than that I'm all ears though
I'm sorry this a beta test and this is honest feedback.
I'm not talking about my own ability to beat the boss or not but anything bar molten strike spam is simply tedious.
It's not about easy or hard, it's about whether this is enjoyable and the options which are available to the warrior up until this point simply do not engage with this boss.
The best ability against him is molten blast for the sole reason that it is ranged and doesn't require 3 seconds to detonate.
The goal of the game is to be beaten without min/maxing and without forced multiplayer so until that's accomplished they need this kind of feedback
Just to put it out there I have beat the guy, but tbh without molten blast just making it a slow ranged fight it's just a bit tedious. Like going pure physical the bugger took what feels like 10 minutes of basic attack spam to get to around 5%

The video posted above shows how wrong you are.
It's just pure skill and recognition of boss patterns. No spongy HP bar, no one shots, nothing.
Know your skills, know the enemy boss pattern, and fix your build if its crap.
I even replied to that with my own kill vid but that still takes a few minutes of just spamming.
You're ignoring the point of it being possible isn't making it fun.
The boss being beatable doesn't make that an enjoyable experience.
How many attempts do you think it took for that one person to do it potless? Cause based on their cosmetics they seem to be a fan and like to sink a lot of time into the game.
Expecting that kind of dedication for the first major boss of the game when the end point of these games is the seasonal map challenges it's a smidge short sighted
The amount of time that it will take will depend on gear and build. If you feel like its taking too long, it could be time to check if you should respec or even farm a bit for more equipment.
It didn't take me as long as you did with Mercenary, though I admit I probably had more windows of opportunity to hit since the boss is always in range of some ranged skill.
I feel a hard challenge is appropriate for what is the end boss of an act, especially since in these kind of games, difficulty is usually on an inverse curve, as you start getting way too strong as you approach the middle of the game, with proper gear and better skills / ascendacy / whatever else.
