Temporary ''Fix'' for POE 2 Loading Screen Freezes
I've been troubleshooting PC freezes during loading screens, which seem to be caused by the Windows 11 24H2 update (most likely on AMD CPUs). Here's what I've tried so far:

1. Use BES (Battle Encoder Shirasé)
Following a suggestion, I’m using BES to limit POE 2's CPU usage to 95% (Target -5%). Download link: https://mion.yosei.fi/BES/ - VERY simple set up
So far, I’ve tested it by teleporting across several waypoints, and I haven’t experienced any freezes. It seems to effectively prevent the CPU from maxing out at 100% during loading screens.

2. Revert to Windows 23H2
If possible, roll back to the 23H2 version of Windows.

3. There is a 3rd ore option if the above did not work for you, but I prefer the 1. option - Reducing the number of cores the game uses prevents the entire PC from freezing. However, I wanted a better solution, so I moved on to Option 2.

Report back if these solutions ''resolve'' the problem. Hopefully, Microsoft will release a patch soon to address this.

EDIT:
So far no freezes using BES -5% (95% maximum usage for POE)

Option 4: Windowed fullscreen with DX11 is solving issues for some as well.

Thanks Mate, keep us informed.

I can confirm BES works even if you are not crashing.

I was seeing incredibly high temps and cpu usage during loading screens and some maps, now the temperature is stabilized again at 63 - 70 C.

Using BES with the -5% limit.

(Maybe it will work) Turn off G-Sync or AMD FreeSync , and turn off V-Sync and triple buffering

Does this work without rolling back to 23H2. I don’t let broken games dictate my OS.

24H2 has no relevance to the crashing unfortunately (it has many other issues, but this ain't one!)

i have a fully installed windows 11 platform with no updates waiting for the last two weeks. Poe2 loads fine. I use vulkan over directx though. this has be something in the installation of windows. not the the game.

BES worked, you're the best

BES seemed to have worked man, fingers crossed. I'm assuming Assassin's Creed Origins will benefit from this as well, I'll try that one later.

BES is a Bloatware program that collects information prob for Malicious Activity. So it makes it a Malware program as well.

Your Windows System can do exactly the same what BES can do. You don't need a 3rd Party Malware app for that
