If you’re confused about how to redeem an Early Access (EA) key or share it with a friend, follow this guide carefully. Below are the steps you and your friend will need to take, depending on whether the key is for Steam or PoE website.

1. Understanding the Steam Key

• What it does : The Steam Key provided on the PoE website does not grant Early Access (EA) . Instead, it allows you to add the game to your Steam library. If you share this key, your friend can see the game in their Steam library, but they won’t be able to log in to play.
  
• Where it applies : If you’ve purchased EA through Steam, the Steam Key from PoE will not provide EA to anyone you share it with. It simply allows the game to appear in their library for download.

2. Recognizing the EA Key

• EA Key vs Steam Key : The EA Key is specifically labeled as “ PoE 2 Early Access Key ” (without mentioning Steam) and is used to upgrade an account to have Early Access privileges. This key cannot be redeemed on Steam .

3. Redeeming the EA Key on PoE Website

If you’re giving your EA key to a friend, here’s what they need to do:

• Go to the PoE Website : They must visit the PoE website and log into their account.
  
• Select Early Access : Click on the Early Access option. If the EA is not yet activated on the account, an error message will appear saying there’s no EA on the account.
  
• Find the Redeem Code Option : On the error page, they will see a "Redeem code" option in the bottom right corner. They should click on it.

4. Enter the EA Key

A new window will open asking for a code.

• Enter the EA Key : Your friend should enter the EA Key you gave them into the provided field.
  
• Click Redeem : After entering the key, they will see a confirmation message stating: “You are about to redeem Steam key, Epic key, and Early Access.”

you can check with any of your steam friends, or the official discord groups with players who are actually playing the game, each one should have an extra key. They can check here :

if they have something that says Used:False with a key in their POE website account then he/she has an extra key to give away.

ok question, i was invited to EA for poe2 from in the website, but i never recieved an actual key, i was just free to download the game from the website, so how do i download it through steam?

first check the poe2 website by signing in with the same email on which you received your invitation, in early access section check if you are seeing something like in step 5 mentioned above.

REGARDING STEP 5. I redeemed access key on POE2 Website (I am on PC).
There is no "Games" link on my Steam once I start it up. There is Store and Library. POE2 is not shown even though I Installed thru POE 2 website. I can find nowhere on Steam to enter my redemption code. I can find nowhere on Steam to "Activate a Product on Steam." Help would greatly be appreciated.

On the top left corner of steam window, you need to goto Games menu (in between Friends and View menu), select Activate a Product on Steam, and enter the steam key shown on your profile on POE website. Then you can see the game added to your library.

So I bought the game on the PoE website and got the Steam Key. I redeemed the key on steam and installed the game, but when I try to log in it says my account does not have early access and to redeem the key on the website.
On my account on the PoE site it says my account IS eligible for early access.
Any idea how I can get steam to recognize that?

I had bought a supporter pack early access on launch and playing the game. I then recently upgraded my pack and got an extra key that I wish to gift a friend. So should I do the steps in this post and then my friend can play or is it different!

yes, ask your friend to try step 3->4->5 to reedeem key first on the poe2 website then use the new steam key from the poe account to link to steam

Man you are the only one who resolved my issue, thank you so much im so stupid i didn't see the "Redeem code" option below stated in point 3:

3- "Find the Redeem Code Option : On the error page, they will see a "Redeem code" option in the bottom right corner. They should click on it."
