Merged POE accounts, playing on Steam, logged in as the old account in game, bonuses not available?

I created a new account on the POE website and bought a founders pack. Turned out my email had a Steam account already linked from when I tried POE 1 on Steam (nothing valuable, low level character). I merged the accounts and now I am logged in as the old garbage account when starting the steam client (noticed when I went to in game shop), I have 1600 gold on the new account and not this one...can I fix this?

The drop down is at the top right. You'll have your two accounts.
So for me, my Steam account has my old stash upgrades from PoE1, but my PoE account has the 300 gold. A bit frustrating.

This is exact scenario happened to me and it's pretty frustrating. I even checked multiple times using various emails to see if I already had an account through the PoE website and found nothing. Had no idea until after I bought PoE2 early access and got the linked account notification.

Support Mail not functioning, i receive like a "mailserver full" message.

big same. I can't switch back to the main account without creating a character, but the game won't let me create a character on the merged account, so har locked out of playing the game
