And some don't have any sense of fashion and put together the most eye sore combos you can imagine, that it could do more harm than good I think

I'm guessing the devs have put more thought into it than me, and it's probably worth it for them
Well as long as you can still see it yourself
Guild Wars 2 also have an option to make all players character standard models
It helps a ton with performance
