Max elementary res, 50 chaos res, 40% armor (I just got to armor nodes so I expect to get 70% armor at lvl 50).
Passives: fire damage, damage to burning, avatar of fire, resolute technique (later I plan to grab accuracy nodes), stun build up, block chance. Later I want to grab zealot's oath and mind over matter as I have tons of life reg and don't use mana that much.
Game feels like breeze, melt bosses with perfect strike. Stun with jump attack with holy descent for regen and annihilate crowds with boneshatter. I didn't use flasks since the start of act 3.
My first character was minion witch and she needs to roll constantly to stay alive. This character can facetank almost anything except brocken bosses (blackjaw oneshotes) and deal pretty good damage.
You just need to understand how defense and offense stat works, get a good idea of what you play and smash everything one hit. The armour break build for example kills bosses in like 5-10 seconds. I never can do that with essence drain.
Essence drain on the other hand is of course really really sustainable and "tanky", due to high es pool and range attacks. You cant have everything (so I think melee is too strong, not essence drain too weak).
I would even say melee builds well played are way too strong in leveling phase. I cant give an opinion about 90+, but thats another story and wasnt the topic here. I was shocked how easy melee was to level.
Monk feels more fluid in its moves. Warrior is easier.. just from the fact that it has more potential for armor instead of evasion.
In my experience armor is far superior.
I found a unique on my warrior where i can have a two handed weapon in one hand and a shield in the other so thats how i roll lol
ACt 1 boss could barely touch the warrior..
monk doesnt look as bad but if those players say its similar ill believe them
thankfully this is EA and things are supposed to change
"punish me harder GGG daddy"
everyone with just a little brain work sees that warrior is waaaaaaay underpowered in early game and is very unfun to play
Melee warrior are probably painful on campaign if u troll and make a bad choice.
If u want to see how melee warrior are more less good than other, wait t15-17.
The main issue I am running into is survivability. Its all well and good that I can stun lock a boss and kill it before it really has a chance to 1 shot me, but when I am fighting 10-20 mobs at a time that are all coming from different directions I am bound to get hit, and when I get hit I get hit. I can't use a shield because my skills require a 2-handed weapon, and I can't really build a ton of armor/hp very easily so I am really at a loss for what to do in terms of defense. Not looking up guides or anything though because that sort of defeats the point in my opinion.
