To the devs: Will you change gender-lock in the full release?

Title says everything. I really dislike being forced to play women.
I don't want to start a stupid discussion about any ethics, moral, my opinion or something else like this here.

I just want an answer from the devs, if we will be able to choose male/female for each class in the full release.

At best I can see them doing is a new class entirely that you can customize, thinking something similar to scion in poe1 but with visual options to shut up the squealing crowds of "I don't want to play as x, why us this locked!!!".

I think devs adding things like swords, new skills, more maps, more story, and such is far more important than gender options and other customization that basically disappears once armor is equipped.

Exactly! Once you get fully geared, gender becomes completely insignificant.

I can't understand why it matters. Other than voice, you can't tell what your character is anyway under all the armor and effects.
