Auto aim on mouse and keyboard is problematic
Having to cast a spell 3 times to make it go where I initially aimed at is annoying.

Why can't we disable it ?

Point and click control scheme doesn't auto aim. If using the two twin stick style controls it does

The issue is that I am using WASD but I can aim precisely with my mouse... It should not auto aim :(

M/KB doesnt auto-aim for either point-click or WASD. I've played both, no auto-aim at all, must be a controller thing.

WASD controls didnt have this yesterday, not for me anyway. Within the last hour since logging on for some food it's suddenly enabled. Dumbest thing not to have it optional

Nope, it's doing it for WASD aswell. I logged off for food and when I came back it's suddenly enabled.

It does auto aim.

oh god is this why it feels so awful? I was wondering why my skills (ed contaigon) were constantly not going where I was aiming. literally forced to use pierce on ed because my spells wont go where I aim. dont even get me started on unearth holy :DSTpoop: itll just go off in random directions, especially with no target (like trying to break pots). insane they changed this. as usual consoles (controllers) ruining everything.

wasd+mouse DOES have some auto-aim/target-lock. Try casting firewall+fortress in a specific spot you want with enemies near it. Worse still, you can target-lock your party members. It sometimes will cast firewall on enemies in the path to your mouse too, as if firewall were a projectile that could be body blocked.

was playing with wasd and controller day one. they both had auto aim from the start.

use a controller. Movement is excellent for a game where you have to move a lot.Auto aim works. Buttons right at the tip of your fingers. Every thing is faster.

trying to attack the bell as monk and having my attacks auto lock onto the enemies instead feels extremely bad. already having enough trouble getting through mobs but dying because my attacks arent going to where my cursor is aiming is about to make me crash out. i kept dying to a super easy boss as well because of this where i lost out on tons of dps because my melee and ranged attacks kept auto locking to them instead of the bell.

moving with wasd feels so nice but this auto aim thing doesnt :(( i hope they fix soon
OHHH. is that what the problem is?

I'm doing Ranger with WASD movement and I thought their cursor was off from the actual mouse position. So it is locking some nearby mob for auto-aim and the projectile often goes too high? LIke not where you even aimed it.

Makes sense. :steamfacepalm:

Having a spell on left click using WASD with this autoaim on makes picking up items or clicking on anything really annoying. As a summoner i autoaim on corpses and have to raise every corpse in the area b4 i can pick up an item or use the portal.

Being able to turn this off is a must.
When i get annoyed instead of having fun i simply stop playing, i bet im not alone.
