Network spikes?
Anyone else getting network spikes? I can run other games just fine for pvp and stuff but on poe2 my network constantly jumps from 28ms to like 150ms+ making the game nearly impossible to play. It's nothing to do with graphics as I have well above the recommended pc specs

Sounds very much like it's connection related then. :D

Smooth as butter here playing from the UK on the London server. Not had issues when connecting to Amsterdam server with other players either.

I started getting Ping Spikes in Cruel Grelwood. I was at Areagne, Forgotten Witch when it was happening. I died to her cuz of the spikes and when I res'd it was fine. Go figure.

It seems, the strange thing is that in other online games you don't feel anything at all

Seems to be possibly DNS related. I tested and I was constantly bouncing between 21ms to upwards of 400 with dns set to 1.1.1.1. switched to 8.8.8.8 and it doesnt go over 80 now and I dont actually feel the spikes at all anymore. at least in the first few minutes. If that changes I will let you know

ya its real fun trying to do the trial with random spikes and goodbye honour. I was foolish enough to go melee thinking theyve changed their ways KEKW
same, heavy fights/bosses: teleporting without teleport skill.

could be a new hidden skill from poe2.:steamhappy:

I am in the same situation as you. My friends have no problems, and now I am the only one who has this problem. But I can tell you for sure that GGG will not fix it, because I have been playing PoE1 for several years, and I have had this problem since September, and they still haven't fixed it until now. I checked the news that GGG has announced in this regard before, and they only attribute the problem to the player's poor network and router problems. But I have never encountered such a problem in the past few years before August this year, but GGG thinks the problem lies with us players...

If you leave the area then press Ctrl+Left Click when re-entering area will give a recent server list. You can just click New. At least worked for me

The game feels unplayable for me at the moment. In PoE 1, I get a consistent 100 ping, but in PoE 2, it constantly spikes between 100 and 900.

Chenge your DNS settings, and if doesn't work you can change servers in the game. That's the simplest things you can do. I have fiber and I have zero issues with latency.

If you have no problems stay out of the conversation.

Just because I don't have any problems, it doesn't mean I can't offer help to those who have issues.

It seems you get ofended that I have no issues and you want to mod the thread. Why? Whatever.

I offered two solutions. It might help, but if the issue is the internet link itself, the problem is way more complext to solve. Either way,
