Network spikes?

Anyone else getting network spikes? I can run other games just fine for pvp and stuff but on poe2 my network constantly jumps from 28ms to like 150ms+ making the game nearly impossible to play. It's nothing to do with graphics as I have well above the recommended pc specs

Suddenly today this game has become a stuttering mess, changing servers makes no difference, disappointing.....

i have the same but not permanently ... my latency spikes into record heights (which you can see in the options) to 21k upwards ... stays like this for 2~4 minutes and then all actions which got taken during that happens all at once in like 4times speedwise and then, everything is normal as if nothing happened. it happens totally random aswell.

it isnt my net connection because everytime when it happened did i a speed test on my net, checking if theres something going on and checking in my task manager aswell.

for me happens this since yesteday and its ramdom. it happened today twice ... once in my trial ... luckily i was not near any enemy or was in that timed crystal room x3.

I offered two solutions. It might help, but if the issue is the internet link itself, the problem is way more complext to solve. Either way,

no, he has right because peoples wrote many times that changing the server does not work.

so ... your "recommendations" only show that you probably havent readed most of the posts.

sorry for the pixel mess for those which are sensitive tho that XD. but i didnt wanted to show my ingame name etc. x3.

but yea, in my case persists this for about 2~4 mins and then ... everything is back to normal.
and like i wrote, i checked everything during those random moments.
it isnt my net, i even logged twice directly into my router to check if theres something going on. it must be something with the PoE servers.

in the PoE forum wrote someone that it has to do with PoE 2 live patching which could actuallly be, who knows.

i had same ♥♥♥♥ in poe1 and it reoccured in poe2 too.. but now it is more anynoing as game is lot harderd on early stages

I didnt read all the 10 pages, it's too many pages. But I still would like to help so I offered too common solutions that might help, and I said that if it didn't help, it might be a case of a much more complex situation, which is what your post describes pretty much.

I don't know much about this "live patching" that you've mentioned. But if they are patching the game on the server side while it's running, it also fits in a complex situation, so what I have said still applies.

Sorry for not helping with my recomendations. But as I've said, I have fiber and I don't have the problem. And that fits on the "it must be something related to the link" since I don't have it.

Fun (not really) fact: before switching from cable to full fiber, I had the EXACT same issues with many games that were sensitive to latency. Nothing worked as a 100% solution to the problem. Only switching providers worked.

Let's hope GGG fix the issue for those who are suffering from it. Good luck.

I have fixed the problem for my PC now, I changed the network adapter DNS setting from "automatic" to "8.8.8.8" (Google DNS). Now I have 20 ms ping constantly.

Has anyone tried vpn? I'm considering to get one and try to see if it makes any difference. Pls comment if you have tried. Cuz some ppl say "vpn solved my problem". Or anyone have an idea about how to create a direct line between GGG servers and our router. Back in the days we had to do something like this with dotA 5.84 if you are the host. Not sure if its the same thing but im out of options.

-Go to documents/my games/path of exile 2. There you will find the editable configuration file. Open it, hit CTRL+F, find “NETWORKING”.

-Under networking you will see “networking_type=auto”.

-Change “auto” to “predictive” all lower case and click save.

-Open POE2 and enjoy the smooth gameplay you deserve.

That change somehow made the game even more laggy.
