Had the issue as well. I swapped away from Dx12 and that fixed it for me. Went with Vulkan, but going to Dx11 can also potentially fix it. Seems to be caused by a variety of issues, though, as no single fix seems to work for everyone.

I also tried Vulkan but it was way worse for me and not really playable.... The FPS drops i mean. I really hopw they will fix it soon.

And BTW here is the thread from the Support side, maybe it will help if we pump it?

Or is there also another one?

It happened a bit before, now it literally unplayable. It crashes every single time during boss fights. I have no idea what they did but they must roll it back and fix it properly.

I switched to Vulcan last night and left multi threading enabled.
No crashes.
As soon as I go back to DX12: crashes every 5 minutes or so with a signal timeout warning, which seems to me like a DX12 specific issue.
7900 XTX and 5900 X.

turn multithreading off. I have a 4070 and this worked. Crappy fps in town, but it works.

yep Im doing the same thing sadly fps super low 15-20 in town 40 in more detail map 80 in less detail map
whenever turn dx12 and multithreading always crash no matter what

Still crash with vulkan just straight to desktop but the farmes are also like 20 less with vulkan compared to dx12. turning multithreading off lowers the frames a lot but actually feels good but some areas like towns are like 5 fps unplayable. The least worst option overall just seems to be dx12 and have the best but not great performance but crash sometimes vs the others witch still crash but have lower fps

yes, the towns drop frames because they are not really reliant on gpu. Vulkan didn't work well for me at all so this combination was the best for my 4070. I was getting good frames playing the game and 24 fps or so in towns, but I suspect my computer is probably more powerful.

I hope they fix it, but I can't stress enough, keep complaining on the GGG forums itself in the feedback and bug report sections. Complaining here does nothing.

same issue for me with 2060
DX12 + Multithreading on causes the issue.

yup, taking notes from D4 apparently not good

This is due to the textures not clearing the cache and once it fills up it has no place to put new textures =crash. This is on their end.
Troy 17 DIC 2024 a las 16:46
Textures are likely not being cleared from your GPU Cache. They build up until there is no more room. You know it is getting close when you start hearing crackling sounds and studders. Not 100 percent sure but some people saying rolling back the latest microsoft windows update fixed it. I am going to see if they patch it or Microsoft rolls out a hotfix or something
