No, you are moving the goal posts. Again, I'm not asking for damage numbers during general game play. I'm not asking for any major changes. Just a practice dummy, in our hideout, that lets us see the numbers and test away.
Everyone has different methods, I'm not in here poo poo ing on yours.
I'm fully immersed in the top right corner of my screen when playing
What I want, instead of floating damage numbers, is more tool-tips that actually show what is happening. They are missing key components in the character panels.
If they can focus on that, then everyone will profit.
I don't see how any game in the genre could be taken seriously without damage numbers (or else a training dummy). These are essential tools for anyone min-maxing a build or taking the game remotely seriously. Lack of such data just makes this game reek of CASUAL.
Some people want to test out stuff, but god forbid ... respec or check damage? Nope
Even Character tab says nothing about dmg
Damage for POE 2 was moved to a new panel, The Skill Gem panel shows you your damages and bonuses.
And you need to check the numbers in your Hideout as town hides certain damage types due to towns disabling character buffs, enhancements etc.
spread sheets, and math does.
onscreen numbers do nothing to help you improve. just because a number got bigger doesnt mean its better for you, your hit might have increased, while you total dps might have decreased..
the cost of the new skill might now exceed your mana capacity, and you will run out of mana and be doing no damage..
seeing a number on screen is like 1000 on the list of useful measure of ingame power.
needing on screen numbers would be what reeks of casual.
press g, not c.
look is the correct spot, and you will see the number change..
skill damage.. is on the skills tab, not the character tab.
There is still informatin missing. I know about the skill damage panels. I want MORE information. Minion damage, hp, recovery as example is still a mystery for many minion types, ie fire skulls proc'd off of fire skills. Would be helpful if they displayed a formula there for what the hp/dmg would be off of xyz skill you have equipped. Just things like that.
FYI if you cared to even read 2 articles above your reply to me, you would see that I already know about G panel for skill information. I appreciate you trying to help a fellow out, but please read the posts before replying blindly.
they have no actual interest in honest conversation/discussion. intellectual dishonesty is their bread and butter. their too tired from carrying the devs water all the time
They have said they are consideirng putting in a target dummy instead.
