Is there any way to turn on damage numbers?

It seems like no, at boss fights when you look at their health bar top right, there is a number, indicating total damage I think.
I find it very dissapointing, there is literally no feedback if a skill hit or how my character progresses in terms of damage output. I turned on enemy health bars, atleast a little feedback of whats going on.

i dont agree like it when massive dm numbers are on me screen :(
An option for that would be nice though.

poe not having damage numbers is the only thing stopping me from playing the game. atleast having the option to turn them off and on should be a thing.

Game director of PoE said several times that there will never be any floating damage numbers in the game, because it breaks immersion and looks awful. So you will not get any except that number above boss health bar.

an option could be to show it on the top of the bar like bosses, but on regular enemies as well, no extra clutter and you still can keep track of your progress.

If you don't like them, just turn them off?
This is one of the things that are def better in D4 than in PoE and PoE2. It's really impossible to compare things in PoE without importing your character into PoB...

it is not crying? people like to check their progress by checking the damage numbers, it doesn't have to be all in your face like diablo, it can be done like how they do it with bosses, at the heathbar on top, regular enemies have those too.

What breaks "immersion" is having to open my inventory 20 times to swap gear back n forth trying to figure out if one thing is doing more damage than another. This is f*ckin ridiculous. If someone doesn't want the numbers, then make it a toggle option to turn it off, otherwise it needs to be in a game like this..

In a game where decimals matter, there absolutely should be at least an option to turn on damage numbers. "Immersion breaking" sounds like a cop out to me. Besides, who gives a ♥♥♥♥ if you the Dev think it is immersion breaking if your player base doesn't. There are a lot of lame shortcuts and unnecessary omissions in this game.
